Sswh218 Neutral Newbie April 2, 2008 Share April 2, 2008 Fyi, Sportage and Rush are lower in height than the Actyon. Honda CRV is one of the lowest among all the SUVs so that the CG is lower for better stability. Tall cars have higher CG which in turn means lower stability. Top end SUVs are a bunch of different animal. They may be same or higher than Actyon in height, but they are typically much heavier cars and are powered by 3 litre engine or bigger. Can you find a suv which is taller than Actyon but weighs lighter than Actyon which can acheive a top speed greater than 164km/h???? A tall car to run at high top speed needs to be heavy. Weight adds stability to the car but ther must be a balanced engineered design as too much weight hampers other performance parameters like fuel efficiency and acceleration and the such and too light a weight affects stability. ↡ Advertisement
Toeknee_33 Turbocharged April 3, 2008 Share April 3, 2008 Yes you are right. I cant think of a SUV that is taller, heavier, yet powered by a weak 150bhp drivetrain. The Actyon is pretty unique in this sense. You win. Oh, and I just remembered, the reason for the Actyon's immense weight is cos of its antiquated ladder-frame (instead of monocoque) construction. But I guess you might already know. Cheers!

SBB Neutral Newbie December 31, 2012 Share December 31, 2012 Any Actyon owner around? Just got a 2nd-hand 2008 2.3A CNG, need some advice. Sorry had to dig out an old thread since i can't start a new one.
Zzgiggs 1st Gear April 1, 2013 Share April 1, 2013 (edited) Sorry to bump up an old thread I was at a MSCP (Limbang Shopping Ctr) earlier in the evening when I saw a silver Ssangyong SJS 794* Z being brushed on the front by a Toyota Corolla SFT 88* P The uncle was being guided by his wife and trying to park (really bad parking skills) and got the angle completely wrong. I stopped the uncle and ensured he left a note on the Ssangyong with his mobile because he looked like he was just going to walk away. If you are the driver, from what I can see, the damage is quite minor and I have to say this is really a classic case of very poor parking skill (and not reckless driving) so perhaps you can find it in your heart to let the old couple off. I stopped the couple as I really hate hit and run cases. If you need more details, please drop me a PM Cheers Edited April 1, 2013 by Zzgiggs
abbaszojaji Neutral Newbie July 27, 2018 Share July 27, 2018 Hi. I have an actyon 2011 and it works 150000 km. About two months ago it began to shake when speed reached to 60 and will be continued until 85. I replaced the whole 4 tires and balanced them. The shake decreased but still remains. Tnx a lot.
