WaHH...my wife drove the car with the handbrake on for about one km..will it cause any major probs with the car?...the hand brake was three quarters down and my car is only one week old.. [sweatdrop][sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

Depends....if the brakes were really held up high when it was parked and then you drive off without releasing it, the drums would be burnt blue and may distort. Depending if you are driving the drum brakes or brake disc version, some juddering of the brakes may be felt if the drum is too must distorted. Other than that, nothing should be too much of a bother.

 

By the way, your wife is a real safe driver ! She keeps her eyes glued to the road ! How fast the vehicle is travelling or if any of the tell tale lights were lighted up, does not matter to her . Just keep looking out for the car in front ! [laugh][laugh]

We were travelling bout 80km/hr when i noticed how slow and sluggish the car was moving at 5th gear. thats wen i started looking around to spot any defects. i thot we dragged a dead body under the chassis. [laugh]

neways, i didnt scold her much as she's been driving for about six yrs and me bout a year. [blush] .
