Can buy? mintex brake pads

would like to know whether a pair of mintex brake pads selling for $54 can buy?

is it considered ok or expensive?

mintex brakes are hard on the rotors and squeel. I know, i've gone thru 3 sets already and no more for me. They gave me endless worries and trouble with their squeeling and wear on the rotors.

 

I've switched to Ferodo pads. They don't squeel and are better than OEM for braking. I find them better than Mintex.

sorry, can't remember, as i got them during servicing at my new mech..... but it was around the same price range as OEM/Mintex...

Apparently the squeel is only with the Toledo. CAn't remember who told me but the Bora etc all dun hae this problem.

Its a bit low... be careful could be dud ones...mine cost my $100 for my G8 corolla, which should be the same size as the starlet.

Better check the temp rating they should be abt 400oC. Project U is higher abt 450-500oC but cost sligthly more abt $50.

Be careful the high temp gives more bite but may wap your disc brakes.

Hee..hee me too. but periodically I check the wear on my disc to make sure the surface is even & flat. do it abt once a month.
