Just to have an idea who are the Sirion/Passo owners here... Maybe we can share tips and info on the car.... And perhaps a mini meetup?

Wah, a Sirion owners' thread at last eh?

Unfortunately, my backside not yet itchy enough to get one. But maybe see how COE is after CNY?

You shd PM Aidan, I think he's one of the first in MCF to get a Sirion, a mint blue one if I'm not wrong.

54k then. now cheaper [smallcry]

but never regretted. Need to scrap my old Wagon R. 660.l.

Still warming up on the FC. 15 - 17 per liter now.

But getting a lot of attention on the road. [wave]

but of course, i brought the car i will say its good, you should go

test drive the Sirion/Passo if you have the chance. try it for yourself,

dont hear or read too much, buy the car with the heart. [inlove]

not with the brain, too much to consider. [hur]

hi MewMew

Hardly come across Passo on the road, but i guess it does make head turn esp for that pearl white one u hve ther. [shocked]

Can check which PI u got urs from, hows the support, was lookin at Sirion or Vios, but maybe Passo 1 litre may help as a cheaper alternative. Btw what diff between urs n Sirion, or ther is no diff at all? [;)]

CHeeRs [rolleyes]

Firstly, its (Passo) won't be cheaper on the selling cost, compare to the two car.

here why, Firstly

Passo1.L - OMV 18K which = to higher Selling Cost.

BUT higher parf value. Higher Resale value (toyota badge)

Sirion 1.3 .L - OMV 12++ K (i think) which = to lower selling Cost.

But lower parf value. Lower Resale value (Daihatsu badge)

(OMV base on 2005's Oct rate and Jap exchange rate)

Second,

(Base on Long Term Running cost )

Passo 1.L

Road tax. $480 / yr + Insurance $777 / yr + lower FC(1.L) = lower running cost

Sirion 1.3 .L

Road tax. $723 / yr + Insurance $928 / yr + higher FC(1.3L) = higher running cost

BUT, Sirion has its Edge too.. [thumbsup]

1.3L Sirion has better power, more Omh! than Passo.

Has a Technometer. Hand gear and hand break.

if you compare apple to apple, that is BOTH 1.3 Sirion and 1.3 Passo.

Price - Sirion will be much cheaper.

Service - Sirion has their own agent and have part anytime

So. Sirion might be a better chioce.

( STS should pay me for saying this )

But because i have met bad service SE at STS(two of them) and also i wanted Peal White and not willing to pay 2.5K extra for that.(only Sport Euro have Peal White) and also higher insurance for Euro Sport.

Anyway, as i mention, buy with yr heart [inlove]

Both are 95% same but diff badge. [;)]

right! but for some reason, i have a feeling that STS is trying to clear their stock of YRV,

i think that they are phasing out. [lipsrsealed]

That was what the STS SE told me in oct 05... saying they clearing the YRV stock (few left) in their wharehouse.... seems to take a long time... [confused]

If looking at price alone, YRV would be the cheapest. But if u consider the engine capacity, it would be either Lancer or Sunny. [smash]
