Thought I invented a hand-held AA size (4 pcs) battery operated buffing "machine".

Happily wrap the attachment with soft cloth and started waxing my car using the rotational motion of my invention.

But after removing the wax, I can see a lot of Swirl marks!! Help!! Please tell me how to remove them and where can I get professional service?

The last pic shows the waxing before cleaning.

After removing, not so obvious but if look carefully, can see the marks.

hi wire, looks like the device more suitable for your kitchen sink than for car.

the other bros could be right. You might need some professional help to rectify the situation.

You can try by hand first ... hand apply the swirlmark removal ... see if it helps. I used Tutlewax Swirlmark and Scratch Remover ... it works on my car. But looking at pic 1 and 2 ... that is definitely not the right thing to use for polishing.

Coincidently, another Honda. [;)]

for me, i use Autoglym super resin polish to reduce the visibility of swirl marks. Any way juz a question, are swirl marks very visible on a grey car, as compared to darker coloured cars?

Now I see the pics again, I also want to laugh [laugh][laugh][laugh]

No lah, not so jia lat. That is before I wipe off the wax.

I not so stupid lah, of course I didn't use the green part. Must be crazy if use the green part [hur]

I just removed the sponge which was stuck to the white adapter, use super strong double sided tapes to stick a plastic container cover to the adapter.

Then wrap the bigger diameter cover with cloth.

Didn't take photos of my [shakehead] invention. Will try to take photos and post over the weekend.

Bro not to rub salt onto the wound, u should have tried that little 'destoyer' on the least visible surface of ur ride first. Furthermore, it says 'cleaner' on the label, not polisher/dual action/rotary, one should NEVER have tried waxing with it...

But fret not, a visit to the professional groomer should solve the problem [sweatdrop]

Guess will have to spend about S$200 to S$300 liao.

Went to this shop (forgot the name but it's near Kovan MRT). They using Zaino products.

1 time grooming is S$150 (there's a S$120 one but pay a bit more can get so call better ones). The boss told me need to wash my car first then check under the light in his show room then can tell the condition of my car. From there, they will judge to see how bad the condition. May range from S$50 to S$200.

Read from another thread that one bro sent his car there too and was charged additional S$100 or so for the swirl marks on top of the standard 1 time cost.

But there are bros who comment that shine is 10 but protection is zero. So, don't know what to do now. S$300 is quite a lot of money. If can get rid of the swirl marks, get more shine and protection, then I don't mind.

Anymore alternatives??

What type of motion does that machine make? Just round and round?

What cloth and wax did you use?

Seems like it could've been a good idea but the result proves otherwise. I still like your creative thinking. Hopefully Gen2 can help you out.
