For hondas use VAFC, others SAFC can liao cos no need the vtec function.

You can actually lean our your A/F mixture and set your vtec wild cam to open earlier or later. If your jazz is not the vtec version then SAFC for you.

u need a gd tuner to get gd results....some ppl say the learning power of jazz n fit is too strong, so after some time it tends to override the safc/vafc setting....wat i did was reset my ecu like every 2 mths....u can get the safc cos jazz bo vtec.....another advise is complete ur mods b4 u tune the safc....save money in this way.....

The most increase in performance, and perhaps for some, FC, is if you've modded some parts of the Intake/Header/Exos before tuning with the likes of SAFC or VAFC (now VAFCII).

For e.g., with a better air intake, the engine is able to breath and rev easier. The air fuel mixture would also need to be adjusted so it's not too rich or lean (which leads to engine damage via pinging). If you use a CAI, the burn is also likely to be more efficient as well since a cooler mixture has less loss in power.

If your car is totally stock, you may or may not benefit from SAFC/VAFC, or even better ECU tuning like eManage or FCon series. Some benefits could be derived if your car is tuned too conservatively in the first place, i.e. too rich so as to prevent any pinging - car manufacturer playing it safe.

Lastly, the skill of tuner is most important. For eManage/FCon etc, performance maps must be customised to your car and level of tuning. Look out for those that will actually dyno their tuning results, along with special listening tools to hear for pinging at various driving revs.
