Finally to take these two days to get rid of those irritating swirlmarks from JB car-wash ... and scratches from aboslutely no idea where. Possibly plants.

Not the full job but personally satisfied. Some before and after pics.

The products are up there ... in the third post. [laugh][laugh][laugh]

Firstly, this is just a very simple maintenance because my car is still new. So no claybar and sealant. Just swirl/scratch removal and wax.

1. Give car a good wash ... (but since I wash it a day before, I merely wipe it today)

2. Pour appropriate swirl removal solution to chamosis cloth and apply in circular motions to car body. (Be patient and do it part by part)

3. Relack one corner for 5 minutes.

4. Use a new chamosis cloth and clean away swirl removal in circular motion again.

5. Check for stubborn scratches or swirlmarks. Repeat step 2 onwards again if necessary.

6. Once satisfied with swirl/scratch removal results ... proceed with waxing as per normal.

Hi,

I ain't sure if I am using the right technique too ... didn't bother to check on the right technique to apply scratch remover specifically. I apply it first with the electrical polisher loaned from a friend ... found it way too slow ... although it gives more even coverage. End up low batt ... so hand-applied.

Circular motions all the time. And I don't spread it over large area at one go ... go slow in small circular motions then slowly cover the entire part you are spreading. Give it some time to dry before you clean it off with another chamosis cloth.

I did it this way ... result is [thumbsup]. At least personally I am satisfied.

Neutral Newbie

Just rub the Turtle Wax remover with the orange cloth at ur scratch line in small circular motions. You can increase pressure to rub harder.

After it dries, use back same method to remove the wax. Take note, all these products do sand away the protective clear coat to smoothen out the scractches. So it is advise if u got sealant or wat ever product to polish up the part u have sanded.

Otherwise ur paint is gonna get thin and eventually rust.

Yea ... that's why I am looking around for a good sealant too. Wax can't protect the paintwork too much without the sealant.

Aching lor ... but still ok.

Today went to take a second look at my car ... still got swirlmarks ... did a second swirl-removal exercise. This is result of my carboot lid which QC failed. [laugh]
