Lancer (M)??

my frd is hitting abt 15km/l... i've gathered sm info...avg is abt 13-15km/l for manual.

Noise - it depend on individual, not the quietest... sm can bare with it, sm not. to me, it's still ok... u've to sit inside then u can assess...

handling - good, nice car 2 drive

however, the above are juz my own opinion. get ur bro 2 test it 1st...

btw, wan mi to recommend a C&C SE? might not be the best deal...good enuf to make ur bro happy...

it is a car for the younger pple. Whereas altis and sunnys are associated with older ones.

My consumption is roughly 11.5km/l....realistically.

Noisy , i think not....dun understand why some pple say lancer is noisy.

Handling is alright.

But best of all is not to test drive and experience for yourself, or ask some real owners. Most pple only know how to repeat ignorantly what the industry gossip says.

FC is abt 10 to 12km/l for auto. wonder how ppl achieve 14 or 15km ( 750km on a full tank??). my colleague just bought one.

abit noisy cos the engine is pretty rough and wind noise is high. handling and suspension is good though comfort is compromised. pick up is very very average, one of the slowest around, in fact.

hihi,

i'm drivin a manual one, fully ICE up with Sound proofin and a heavy woofer, i've hit 15km/l, worse so far was ard 12.5km/l.

average is 13+ to 14+..

but if u drive like a mad man(maybe rev up to 6000rpm most of the time, ur FC can drop below 10 also..

handling wise, its good, got sporty image, but not so much torque, don give u the 'sporty feeling' when u drive.

quietness, actually, quite noisy, but most of the time my music on, so not much diff.

but overall, its a good car! nice rear seat (for u noe wat) good handling, ABS (saved my ass a few times)..

but FC cannot qie with Toyota or honda city.. tat one for sure.

its good for the amt u pay now.. made in japan somemore

What RPM do you change the gear. Fro me if can achieve 13 to 15 for manual should be good enough man . But also depend on what RPM you change gear [nod][nod][nod]

For me Gear 1-3 abt 2500rpm shift.

Gear 4-5 abt 2700 shift.

ya agree pickup is not THE FASTEST, but it's definitely not the slowest for 1.6l cars also...

i change at 2k RPM.. so i'm the slowest car on the road.. but i'm not the fast driver type.. i'm the 80km/h drive on highway.. maybe when empty then hit 90.. very seldom go above 100..

but my car's heavy, so don wanna rev too much..

Neutral Newbie

drove a rental lancer while my 323 was in the workshop, its definately quieter when cruising compared to my 323 which has a reputation of being noisy [laugh]

but when you floor the accelerator, the engine sounds like its being strained.

handling compared to 323 was horrible to me, body roll too much when conering.

aircon colder than 323.

fc i'm not in position to comment as 323 & lancer were both auto.
