Carmodz Neutral Newbie December 14, 2005 Share December 14, 2005 wat size are u using bro? i cant exactly say which one is the quietest but ive tried 1. Precedas 205/45r17 2. Hankook Ventus V8 205/45r16 (quiet!) 3. Turanza GR80s 195/60r15 (quiet!) All pretty quiet. My fren who drives a latio also commented the Hankook V8 was much quieter than the stock Toyo tires. If u r interested, let me know. See how I can help get u a good price.
Focusdude Neutral Newbie December 14, 2005 Share December 14, 2005 Bro, Between the Hankook and Turanza, which is quieter? How much will you be able to get them for? Thinking of trading in my Eagle tyres. Wonder if there is any discount for the trade-in? Thanks!
Tyreboy Neutral Newbie December 14, 2005 Share December 14, 2005 quiet tyre means gripping on wet roads not so good....what is your comfort level in terms of noise?? do note that when a tyre is at certain percentage left, there will be noise. well...most quiet tyre is forklift tyres
Carmodz Neutral Newbie December 14, 2005 Share December 14, 2005 to be very fair and just, i cannot say which one is quieter now becos Ventus V8 WAS ON 205/45R16 GR80 WAS OM 195/60R15 Profile and tire widthe totally different. GR80 test one latio... V8 tested on Lowered EK4. How long have u used the Eagles liao? I don think they accept trade in in Hankook. U let me know the size u want. I try to get discount for u. Fcw75 Hypersonic December 14, 2005 Share December 14, 2005 (edited) If you find even Aspec dB is noisy, then maybe you need to change to a Lexus liao...heehee..juz kidding bro. But seriously, Aspec dB is the quietest tire in the market liao, confirmed by a few tire shop which I went to. Perhaps it's bcoz your tires are worn out? How long have you been using them? I mean the mileage. There's a new model called DNA dB Decibel. Yokohama claimed it's even quieter, last longer and better grip than Aspec dB. Toledosun Neutral Newbie December 15, 2005 Share December 15, 2005 So far, each time I had to change tyres, I've gone to the Bridgestone Turanzas. Tried both the 50s and the 80s. Have to say, they're very quiet with excellent grip. Prior to choosing the Turanza 80s, I had read several articles and they all rated the 80s very highly. In my case, used the 80s for about 2 1/2 years and even after that period, with about 40k of usage, still very quiet.
