Cool_jazz Neutral Newbie November 24, 2005 Share November 24, 2005 A review from the man (Jeremy Clarkson) himself. http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/article/0...1074054,00.html It has always been accepted that the car is the second most expensive thing you will ever buy, after a house. Really? Anne Robinson admitted in her newspaper column last weekend that she has been bombing around in a Perodua Kelisa ↡ Advertisement

Contax 1st Gear November 24, 2005 Share November 24, 2005 Jeremy Clarkson ?Is this the guy from TOP GEAR? His comments on the test drive car are usually 'no-hold-bar' type. I'm surprise or rather pleasantly surprise,I must say ,on his write up on the panda.

Fiat124sport Neutral Newbie November 24, 2005 Share November 24, 2005 I've been driving a Panda for 2 mths plus and it's just great. No prob with the car. Only complain is that both headlight has condensation and TTS change only the left headlight. The right headlight was not change. Reason was that if the condensation goes away after a few days, than it's not entitle to warranty claim. Can't do nothing about it. Other than this, Panda is a very value for money car amoung it's category. Suits my tight budget, pay peanuts get big gorilla. Seems more like a 80hp car. Pick up from stand still is good and handling is acceptable. Very good sound proofing. When travelling below 90km/l, the ride is comfortable and quiet. Above 100km/l, can hear a very slight intrusion of road noise but the wind noise is catching up. Above 120 km/L, road noise is acceptable but wind noise getting louder. Above 140 km/l, don't know yet cos haven't try hitting that speed yet. Fuel consumption is in the range of 15 to 16 km/L. Close to 5500 km now and the engine is getting more responsive to the semi auto gear box. Transmission is much much smoother compare to the initial first 1000 km. Bond with the Panda is getting stronger by the day and never a day without driving it. The Panda looks small but don't under estimate the interior space. On a few occassion, I did fetch 4 adults excluding myself and was pleasantly surprise that it occomodates all five of us comfortably tho's the rear 3 adults are kissing each other backside. Best part was that there is no lack in power. The luggage boot swallows a weeks grocery easily. Was on a trip to M'sia recently and takes up a week supply of clothing for 2 adults and 3 teenagers without a problems but than gotta think twice of buying things back to Spore. Luggage space max already. Lot's of stares on the road and also lot's of car bully as well (small car cannot go fast mentality). Wish that there are more Panda owners joining this forum. Getting lonely. Nobody to share the Panda experience. If you're considering a 1.3cc car, and don't mind paying a slight premium, Panda is the car to consider. It has the luxurious accessories of a 1.6 litre and above car. ABS, double air bag, headlight control, mp3 player, leather seat, flyby wire throttle control, solid sound proofing, solar tinted glass, duallogic sequential gear box, free 60,000 km servicing inclusive of labour, alarm just to name a few. Oh, prior to getting my Panda, TTS loan me a "IDEA" for a week. Great car too. More spacious and more gadget but more expensive. Anybody pls feel free to ask me question about Panda. I'll try my best to answer as honestly as I can. Hopefully I can make it to meet all you Fiattitudes driver soon and again hopefully my post don't offend anybody. Just my personal opinion. Cheers. Very interesting read

Sweeney 4th Gear November 24, 2005 Share November 24, 2005 (edited) Good Stuff. Do try to come for the meetup, there's one soon at Leng Kee TTS, if we can propose acceptable time. Eh.. how come you get Idea loaned for a week? Like that I want TTS to loan me their Panda for one week too!
