Huggable Clutched November 20, 2005 Share November 20, 2005 For class 2b, enrol at any driving centres, remember to bring along a passport-sized photo. The centre will issue a complimentary insurance, and student booklet. You can start to go for the theory lessons, and book practical lessons. For 2b sportsbike, the 1st bike that comes to mind is the SP. Should be quite suitable for females. Imuya Clutched November 20, 2005 Share November 20, 2005 you need to get 2B first, then can ride bikes of capacity 200cc or less then after 1 year of passing 2B can enrol for 2A and then the same for Class 2 Class 2A- 201-400cc Class 2-any capacity I spent about 600+ for the whole course at SSDC. Huggable Clutched November 20, 2005 Share November 20, 2005 The runner is a scooter, not a sportsbike. You can bring your own helmet for lessons, make sure it has a PSB approved sticker. Huggable Clutched November 20, 2005 Share November 20, 2005 (edited) 2b - up to 200cc 2a - 201 to 400cc 2 - 401 and above. Of course 2b first. You need to wait a compulsory 1-year period after passing 2b before you can enrol to take 2a. Likewise for cl2. Own helmet strongly recommended. I got a Nova open-face for S$40, used for 2b all the way to cl2. Go for better full faced helmet when you are getting your own bike. 2B first or 2A first? How much does it costs for the whole course? Frostburn Neutral Newbie November 20, 2005 Share November 20, 2005 I own a Piaggio X9 what I can say is their bike is very stable comfort and powerful in it's class and compared with the Honda TA200 I sold 3 years ago,the vibrations on the handle helps alot in improving my blood circulation. Mnphosis 1st Gear November 20, 2005 Share November 20, 2005 The Kawasaki KRR 150 or the Honda CBR150 does seems very small and puny an surely its suited for petite ladies. Look at it this way, the moment you pass your 2B you should probably be able to handle just about any bike 2B on the market. Its meant to be that way. Most choose a scooter for convenience for its auto gears and comfortable riding position. It has little to do with the size of the bike. After all, most 2B bikes are hardly large to begin with. Just stay clear from the italians or spanish made ones as they are the few that are large. I'd love the varadero 125XL or the aprilia RS125. Hey even the mx125 supermotard looks really cool. Huggable Clutched November 20, 2005 Share November 20, 2005 (edited) In that case, concentrate on getting the all-important licence first! SSDC has low-seat bikes, for their 2b lessons. Not sure about other centres. I don't think size matters that much, it's the technique! I've seen small sized girls take cl2 course, and passed of course! Sportsbikes are chio to look at, but the low posture can cause backache for long distances. Most modern scooters have auto-transmission, very easy to ride! Just twist and go. Personally I prefer naked bikes and cruisers (think Harley). No fairings to worry about, and not so much urge to speed compared to sportsbike. The problem with scooters is their tiny tyres, which is not as stable as the regular road bikes. Varadero 125? Grossly underpowered machine IMHO. Now my wife doesn't object, but neither supports. But now I've completed the courses. Of course still remained bike-less...
