Hi Hitman,

may i check with you do u make any deposit b4 u ask the dealer to bring down for a full diagnostice check?

i am interested in a re-sale car and that buggler has the cheeks to ask me for a deposit! say that they will refund me if there is any problem.

of cos i will not entertain this and straightway reject them!

Neutral Newbie

No I did not put any deposit nod.gif

If he wants my deal ... send it in and I will pay for it. If he does not want to ... well, there are many other fishes in the market sly.gif

I must give credit to the SE who sold me the car, he did all I ask him to do without any complaints. thumbsup.gif

The way I look at it, the dealer does not lose out at all. If I decide not to purchase the car, I paid for the inspection, and he can have the printout if I walk away. With this printout from C&C, the car can be validated and he can easily sell it to other customers.

But I am a man-of-my-words .... all is ok with the car so I bought it. thumbsup.gif

Yes, Peugeot is a solid conti car in general, and steering feel is excellent - not too light like Jap cars.

Peugeot spare parts are expensive to replace, but you will have to get your car serviced at AutoFrance (AF) during warranty period, otherwise your warranty will be void.

Some glitches that I heard from customers awaiting to service their cars at AF

1. Screeching sound when braking from a 3 mth old 407

2. ABS warning light refuses to go off on the dashboard of another 407

3. Water seeping through the boot rubber gap of a 8 mth old 307

Peugeot cars seems to still suffer from this problem of not being able to adjust to S'pore hot and humid weather. Lots of rubber parts and parts exposed to the elements tend to suffer from accelerated wear and tear.

...and why should I be ? [sly]

I'm technically a prospective buyer (read - car's in "typical" timeframe for change, as two salespersons have repeatedly told me) and I've not caused anyone grevious harm with a test drive car. Yet. [laugh]

tats wat i call good salemanship........everyone tat come in the showroom is a potential buyer. [nod]

Like Fiat and Alfa showrooms.......the SE told me even for two years wait they will still spend time serving you. [thumbsup]

Why not get an 05 IS200?

Afterall it was ranked at No.2 then, while the 307 was No. 158!

One-hundred-and-fifty-six cars between them is not insignificant!!!

Their CC models always end up with one "C" and that's the Coupe coz most of the time the other "C" for cabriolet is not working coz of the foldable top faulty pump motor.

Or call Thomas at AMK point(outside workshop that service/repair pugs & citroens) and ask him what to look out for and what are the repair cost like.
