Just wanted to compare these 3 tires. I've tested the DIREZZA and it was quite good so far. Good grip, light and quiet, but heard that tire wear higher.

Anyone has any experience with these 3 tires, can pls give your comment??

Will be good to see which Dunlop is the bang for money.

The SP9000 had stopped production. Its successor is SP sport max.

Both DIREZZA & SP Sport Max are really good, really hard to differentiate

them.

Depends on your size.

But do take note on the followings:

Select the tyre with a higher load rating as compared to your

OEM tyre

A higher Speed rating indicates a better tyre

Am using Sport Maxx now for about 1,200km, very good grip in both dry & wet condition, quite also. have not tried Direzza but guess should be of same level.

Bought it early tis year and have done near 18000km, at the look of it shld be able to use it for another 15-20k km. Moderate driving, no jackrabbit start nor highspeed sprint.

Have been using DIREZZA for more than 45000km. No complaints about wear life. Grip still good in wet and dry. In fact, I think mine can last about 50000km to 55000km. However, as usual, noise level louder than when they were brand new. Using 195/55/15. Paid about $480 for the set previously.

Dumped my Yokohama AspecDB for the SP9000., and have used them for 7 months and found the SP9000 very much better than the AspecDB in all respect - even in the 'noise' dept. surprisingly! Straight line speed is very good. Dry handling is not too bad (although could be better) and in the wet is definitely way above the Yokohama DB. I paid only $400 for 4 pcs.

hi all

newbie here, sorry to revive this thread, cos cannot start new one.

Anyway, I am looking to get some 225/45/16 tires. I know SP9000 has this size, but does anyone know if they are still available and where can I get them? Otherwise, appreciate any other brands you guys can recommend on this size....how about Direzza DZ101 or the new SP Sport Maxx - does it come in this size?

thanks in advance!

Mine is 205/60/R15 on my ride. Notice noise level, FC and wear grip deteriorated after 20K [blush] . Rotate every 10K. About 1.5yrs and done only 29K (park at home when go overseas [:/] on this set of tyres. Wear seems to be a bit on the high side compare with friends on the same ride using different tyres. Last rotation was at 28K because front tyres intermediate groove gone liao (thus getting noisy) and brake slots on outer edge ~2mm or less. Think the most can last till 35K MUST change for the safety of my family and passengers [nod][sweatdrop]

One BIG thing I like about this tyre is it's grip and braking in both wet and dry [scholar]. Went up Cameron with family on old road and down on new road too. This weekend going to Bukit Tiggi and Genting [sly][lipsrsealed]

Hi there,

You could try Tong Hin & Co @ Blk 119 Bt Merah Lane (near the Food Centre). I bought my SP9000 (195/50/15) from them.

Oic. So the wear and tear is quite high it seems. That's what my friends told me too, so now need more ppl to prove it.
