you know what, vip, the funny thing is happening to my wifey too! shocked.gif i know some of the other tody owners feel the same way, it is like buying another car is a compromise. We have been spoiled, period.....shucks! now hard to move on to another car.....hmm......not such a bad thing either! laugh.gif

The tody comes with a fabulous design, lots of sexy curves, sometimes mistaken for a BMW 3-series, sometimes a Saab 93 sports saloon. The interior is Audi A3 derived, comes with the lovely red lighting which i so dig for.

for a 1.6L car, developed in 1998, it comes with lots of toys even cars nowadays don't have. It came standard with leather 3-spoke VW derived steering wheel, 8-speaker system, folding seats with 3 headrests and 3 safety belts, soft touch plastics -- not to mention the deteriorating door handles, climatic control, trip computer with FC monitoring and other functions, cruise control, soft return for handles, chilled glove box, immobilizer flip key, good sound insulation, pneumatic lifters for bonnet and trunk, rear sun blinds etc.....

hard to choose another car that betters the tody for value coupled with driver's enjoyment..... thumbsup.gif

If I didn't know you better, I would have thought that you are advertising the car for sale .......... laugh.giflaugh.giflaugh.gif heh heh

BTW, no reason to reject the "CupraR-olution" your ride now........the Kit is "transferable" ... heh heh sly.gif

heh heh, sounds like it, huh, mel !! *wink* [sly]

no lah, pretty happy with me ride ... doing 122K km now [thumbsup]

would prefer for Vip to sell his ride as a whole, would only cupraR-ise my ride if he can't, but i doubt so... not to mention, salvage his passenger door lock and some other OEM parts that need replacing ........ the flesh is willing but the wallet is weak... [:p]

Short-sightedness coupled with irrationality made me change my ride.

I'm happier with my previous ride as the drive is much better. The current car is rather clinical and without emotions. The power is there though.

your car's spirit lives in mine..... or rather, some of his parts does ! [:p]

come drive me car anytime when you feel nostalgic! hee hee [;)]

Hah hah I'll take up on your offer one day for sure.

Huh...I didn't know the tody comes with chilled glove box?

To Viper - sad to see your ride go man. Its a beaut and hopefully there will be someone who share your interest to take over.

vip, if only the SEAT in greece still sold the OEM 1.6L turbo upgrade........ Mk1 wouldn't have jump ship either, i guess! [lipsrsealed]

Yah man...if they still had that part, no way I'll be selling it. Well, tried our best to source around. The other better option is a transplant which is too risky in singapore.

I have the same comment as the others. Your car looks damn bloody nice. I am happy with my octy which i just bought less than 5 months ago and I'm still tempted. Let me wait and see...

Thanks [:)] Well, you can sell the Octy for a higher price and get this one... hee

Actually somehow (especially from some of our experiences here), you'll really regret it like HELL later if you sell it.

Got meh??? [laugh]

So now your irrationality will serve you pretty well since the Astra GTC and Tigra are here....... [thumbsup]

Hallo!!! How come when talk about turbo or engine transplant, my name gets dragged in!!! [flowerface]

Yes yes its true. If Greece was still selling the 1.6l turbo kit, I would have still kept mine.

But I'm very happy with my current ride ever since they put in the new turbo software. Car never felt better....... [thumbsup]

(edited)

SAAB 93 kitted and lowered SWEE...but then the interior cockpit is a let down. Perhaps its more of a delight to fighter pilots!
