Replace oil seals - 280 bucks

replace all the engine oil seals for 280 bucks to plug a engine oil leak. cheap or ex? anything else i should take note of or use this opportunity to change? involves taking out gearbox. went to autosavers and they quoted me this.

U have to specify what seals/gaskets u changed? Normally not all will go at the same time. Just change the ones that leak.

rear engine oil seal leaking...so taking opportunity to change all the seals since labour charge is already in. haven change yet. chking out the price..

 

good price? anything else should change since the gear box is going to be stripped?

or the timing belt oil seal...if it's tat shd be quite cheap.

Both front and rear seal much be replaced including the oil pan gasket.Looks easy but it hard work.

No they are just dropping the gearbox to acess the rear seal.Maybe it is good to check the gearbox clutch bearing and linkage bushing.

If the leakage is not excessive, why not wait until you need to change clutch pad, then do the oil seals together?

any idea wat are the items to be changed for clutch package and how much roughly??

Item wise, I also not so sure .....I hear its between $200 ~ $300 range.

I can't advise u if the price is ok as I;ve never changed these seals b4.

 

Why don't u just get 2 more quotes from different WS to compare. Try to use WS that your frens have used b4 & recommend. Otherwise if it's badly done, God bless you.
