Seeheng Neutral Newbie January 25, 2003 Share January 25, 2003 Hi does anyone know whether 3M liquid wax is just a "protective" wax or "cleaner wax "? I would like to find out whether it can "strips" paint. sh ↡ Advertisement
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie January 26, 2003 Share January 26, 2003 It's a protective wax, no cleaners in it.
Renegade Neutral Newbie January 27, 2003 Share January 27, 2003 I'm using that currently - no, it doesn't strip the paint tho' it does show up as streaks in areas that weren't buffed off properly.
MAuRz Neutral Newbie March 14, 2003 Share March 14, 2003 hi! i'm tinkin of using tis wax on new car. should be ok rite? gonna use a orbital buffering machine. kluv maurice
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie March 14, 2003 Share March 14, 2003 This is a good choice of wax
Renegade Neutral Newbie March 15, 2003 Share March 15, 2003 I think the orbital machine (I think you're referring to the B&D one that's found at HomeFix) would be a worthwhile investment - if anything, buffing off would be much easier and less of a supplimentary visit to the gym. MAuRz Neutral Newbie March 16, 2003 Share March 16, 2003 hi! yup tat e machine!! u guys also got try e 3m other products? say their gloss spray? or others? hw abt eagle one brand? kluv maurice
Renegade Neutral Newbie March 17, 2003 Share March 17, 2003 Haven't used the gloss spray before but the car shampoo's not too bad, especially from a suds-producing standpoint, and the tire cleaner's quite good, especially for its price. Only gripe is that it doesn't impart the wet-look on the tires like some others', but then again, that's not what it's meant to do. Am looking into Meguiars' and Mother's for my next round once I finish this, just for comparision's sake. Someone else in my household uses Autoglym products and they work pretty well, too. Cool Neutral Newbie March 17, 2003 Share March 17, 2003 Jason. I am using Mothers product for my car.. however, a warning, it is very tideous as the process of apply sealant and the followed by wax if you DIY takes more then 3 hours. If you want quick and good, Klasse will do a better job. Try Concord Accessories at Golden Wall basement.
