thanks Q, just saw the pics from vagsg posted by the doc. ......i must say, i really like the aluminum furnished interior! though beige and black would be my thing....

but overall, really nice car, I see it comes with the 150 bhp 2.0 FSI engine with a 6 speed autobox.

[thumbsup]

Hi guys

I have been to the showrm today. There were many pple there. I have checked with one of the SE that there is no overtrade for Passat. Indeed the Passat is good-looking. You will have to see it real to really...wow...

Well...one thing never change..the attitude of the SE. I think they have 'dog's eyes', if you know what i mean :)

lol... I couldn't agree more. I brought my family to see the Touran before I bought my jag. The SEs couldn't even be bothered to approach us even though there were a few just sitting there. Needless to say, that was one of the reasons why i didn't bother to wait for the passat. [thumbsdown][whip]

Booked mine during the soft-launch and collected it on Saturday. Enjoying every minute of it...

Don't bother walking into the showroom and wait to be served... if anybody needs to talk to a VW SE I can PM you a contact, very good and efficient guy, highly recommeded in VAGSG.com.

couldn't agree more. I was there, approach a sales guy standing by the counter, ask for price & brochure. He said "ran out"..who are you trying to fool, an Ang Mo was hovering around the showroom as well, guess what, holding a brochure & being served.

After that, just left the showroom, can't be bothered to explore further.

I'm not a fan of how the chrome on the grill extends all the way down to the bumper, but nice classy ride otherwise. You definitely have to get some bigger rims [thumbsup]

Same feeling.

Was there on Sunday, look see for a good 10minutes. some free Sales or idling girls chatting away at the counter. 2 male Sales heavily involved with customers. No one show interest to a serious potential buyer...

Hmm, so I walked away

What's new, they have been like that for the longest time. A colleague of mine walked in with a cheque book to buy the Mk4 Golf GTi a few years ago. They ignored him totally, probably because he was in bermudas and slippers. Fed up, he went next door and ordered an Alfa 156, paid 50% cash and loaned the rest for only 3 years.

I walked in a couple of times to look at the previous Passat and the current Golf. Same treatment, simply bo chap. I took my purchase elsewhere.

Guaranteed? I beg to differ. Went with my cousin to have a look at the S60s (both of us in bermudas too), the SEs didnt budge off their seats during the 15-20mins we were looking at the cars. Good thing we prefer not be disturbed anyway.

They were polite enough when we asked for the prices though.

seems kinda strange if you are penalizing the car just because its sales people doesn't push it well...

if you're there for the car (like me) i don't care if they don't serve me at all! or give me attitude or whatever, i'm not there to be fawned over anyway... it's the car, it's the car...
