Elfenstar 3rd Gear November 3, 2005 Share November 3, 2005 true true... this should be out for all 2l and below cars, but sometimes its not cost effective unless people are willing to pay more. It does become restricitve at higher power levels and everyone i know who has 200rwkw mark on my engine has got it physically removed and there were instant top end gains. Neo1xavier Neutral Newbie November 21, 2005 Share November 21, 2005 what is Traction Control ? how is it different from ESP ? are they complementary ? Just test drove the 1.8l this afternoon. Never bothered with 1.6l cos with that solid chasis, it will be severely underpowered. Just my opinion. I must say the car feels luxurious and stable ! The computer is nice to have too. Power can be felt although sounded a little rough (normal ecotec, I think). Brake is very, very sensitive to bite. Seats are a bit hard for my liking. SE kept stressing the ESP and traction control. One funny thing I noticed is that the brake and gas pedals are not aligned. Always missed the gas pedal when taking off. But all in all, an impressive ride though a bigger boot and a lower price would be nice. Cheers !
Viktor12487 Neutral Newbie February 3 Share February 3 When discussing cars overall, I would assert that the Opel Astra is a better choice. It is more reliable, even though it may offer slightly less comfort compared to the Ford Focus. However, it's worth noting that the 1.6 Astra engine is not as reliable and tends to have numerous faults. From a reliability standpoint, the 1.6 Ford engine is undoubtedly superior. You can read a bit more about the opel 1.6 engine faults by the link - https://auto-info.tech/en/engines/opel/engine/z16xep ↡ Advertisement
