Multi 3rd Gear October 27, 2005 Share October 27, 2005 I have my Trajet remapped by Harmony since July. Pick-up improve, throttle respond better, low end also improve. Suprising FC remains the same at 9km/L. Conclusion: Value for money.
Firespitter Neutral Newbie October 28, 2005 Share October 28, 2005 At $780, it is definately not value for money anymore. At his previous "offer price" of $300+ for quick flash, it was a borderline case (Slightly biased positively) but the main attraction lies in the price. At $780, I'm sure there are many better options, for example piggyback ECU. Why would I say so? Piggyback tuning, quick flash tuning (Or full tuning by flash methods) basically do the same things. Ignition & fuel mapping is altered to give better economy, performance or both. In the case when you want to sell the car, you get back ZERO$ if you have done flash tuning. In the case of a piggyback, you can remove the piggyback & sell it for several hundreds at least. I sincerely hope that Joey reverts to his old pricing to remain competitive, otherwise, I'm sure there are many car owners that can analyse the cost/performance ratio of his work and avoid Harmony Motor totally (Like I am doing). Looks like Joey has lost me as a potential customer as my car is going to be run-in soon and I may have to resort to the more logical choice of piggybacking it. Dennistan80 Neutral Newbie October 28, 2005 Share October 28, 2005 Agree Piggy can be reused unlike harmony doing only flash yr current ECU which cant be used after changing to a new car.
Alvinchua1975 Neutral Newbie October 28, 2005 Share October 28, 2005 i did a quick flash on my tuscani. car feel mroe powerful with a more aggrsive exhaust tone I muz say..
Firespitter Neutral Newbie October 28, 2005 Share October 28, 2005 Well if it retains similar FC figures, and getting all those benefits, it's a good deal. (Unless you wanted better FC only in the first place). All this is said based on HARMONY's old pricing of $300+ (Not the new $700+). When I spoke to Joey from Harmony, he said he may consider old price for his regular customers but new customers will have to pay new price?! How can one be a regular customer when he does not even flexibly allow one to patronise him reasonably for the first time. Not a good excuse to charge double price if you ask me..... Nsc9281 Neutral Newbie October 28, 2005 Share October 28, 2005 I took the full data logging package with harmony for my 1.3A getz. The results are: 1)faster pickup (more torque from 3K rpm and below) 2)better FC, old 12.5km/l, new 13.5% Asked the technical ah hao to tune for moderate increase in power and fc. If you go for full data logging can choose to tune in any way u want. Juz tell ah hao want you want. For my case, i go for more power from 3k rpm and below for better pickup..high end 4k rpm and above also improve but i seldom try cos my getz can easily attain 120km/h in much shorter time than before. Go for the full data, its worth it. You only know the power when u tried it. Better than most mods i had done in fact.
Qooo Neutral Newbie October 28, 2005 Share October 28, 2005 Couldn't agree with you more! The way he does business does not make any sense at all. he's turning people away even before they he have a chance to work with them. Got a little busines with his promotion and when people start to get interested then he increase price. What a turn off! [hur]

Mica_blue Neutral Newbie October 28, 2005 Share October 28, 2005 www.harmony.sg According to his website , You must do 2 General Servicing ( about $128 each time) with his workshop to become a member...Thus qualifying for the $380 ECU tuning price. ↡ Advertisement
