Elfenstar 3rd Gear October 25, 2005 Share October 25, 2005 yup it does. I've got aftermarket solid rubber mounts but the effect is the same. One thing though, it makes the car shake/vibrate more, so if you don't like that, don't do it.
Zrun Neutral Newbie October 31, 2005 Share October 31, 2005 I bought inserts type. It is removeable if you are tired of the vibration. Also you cannot sell the car in future if it is vibrating like that. http://matrix.newobject.org/tech/esinstall/
Elfenstar 3rd Gear October 31, 2005 Share October 31, 2005 hmmz... interesting about the insert type. thats new to me. I wonder.... I'm using the Nismo mounts instead of the standard nissan ones. How come you can't sell the car??? because of legalities or less people that will buy it?
Zrun Neutral Newbie October 31, 2005 Share October 31, 2005 Less people will buy it and the glue method is not reversible, that's why I spent about $20 USD to buy these inserts. Car with stiff mounts will give false impression that the car is idling very rough, and will probably hurt resale value.
Elfenstar 3rd Gear October 31, 2005 Share October 31, 2005 Thanks for clearing that up... like i said interesting Okies a few more ques. Are these inserts universal or vehicle specific? How easy is installation as changind mounts is easy and can even be DIY provided you have wrenches, axel stands and a trolley jack. Any links?? Zrun Neutral Newbie October 31, 2005 Share October 31, 2005 (edited) It is made by Energy Suspension, a company that specializes in suspension bushings. http://www.energysuspension.com/ I am almost 100% sure it is vehicle specific, because the shape are different with each engine mounts. The installation link I provided above was made by me, on my car. Installation is easy on my car's model. No guarantee on other cars.
