Wire Neutral Newbie October 16, 2005 Share October 16, 2005 (edited) Got a shock when I tried to clean my Air Con Filter this morning. No filters were installed in my 4 months old Honda Civic ES5!! Is it missing since day 1 or were they stolen during my 1st 1K Car servicing? To all ES5 owners out there. Please help to confirm if it is supposed to be empty. It's very easy to check. Less than 10 secs and you can see if it is there. Open your glove box at the passenger seat and disengage the 2 tabs by pushing on each side panel. It's earier if you pull the center tab forward to make way. [inline "CIMG2540 (Small).JPG"] You will see the Aircon tray. It has a cover. Remove the cover so that the trays are exposed. [inline "CIMG2538 (Small).JPG"] Pull out the trays (there are 2 of them). NO FILTERS INSTALLED!!! [inline "CIMG2539 (Small).JPG"] Are my filters stolen during my 1st 1K servicing at KM Service Centre at Ubi? If it wasn't that I checked this morning, I would be driving my car for the next 5 or so years without filter. My whole family's health will be affected. Can I make a police report that KM UBI service center had stolen my filters and make a big fuss out of it? Dishonest people. Guess my filters were brand, so they took it. Bros, please comment. Hcblue99 Neutral Newbie October 16, 2005 Share October 16, 2005 (edited) It's not there. You need to buy it. Search for the topic in the honda forum (SHC) and you'll know where to get it. Edited October 16, 2005 by Hcblue99

Wire Neutral Newbie October 16, 2005 Author Share October 16, 2005 (edited) Is it? How come they never tell us? And we need to purchase them ourselves??? Since everybody don't get it too, guess I will have to spend $$$ to install one. But at least they must tell us in advance right? Anyway, thanks for your advises. Wire Neutral Newbie October 20, 2005 Author Share October 20, 2005 Bro Maddriver. Installed my Air Con Filter this afternoon. Bought the filters at Tanly instead. Could not locate Tian Seng. Bought the one with Charcoal which the guy Ah-B says will help reduce smell. S$25 excl GST. Then on my way to work, dropped by at Stamford Tyres Jurong. Wah, they selling for S$45 for our Civic. Of course different brand lah. From USA. But air con filter no need so good one right? Somemore, the filters are half the thickness of the ones I bought at Tanly. Really thanks for your lobang. You got anymore lobang for Denso Iridium Plugs? Thinking of changing to these plugs during my 10K servicing (maybe next week will hit 10K)? [inline filter1.jpg] [inline filter2.jpg] [inline filter3.jpg] [inline filter4.jpg] Cheers.

Wire Neutral Newbie October 20, 2005 Author Share October 20, 2005 (edited) Ah Lah Mak. I already asked for discount but Ah-B says $25 is the selling price. Maybe next time try Tian Seng. Should have asked the shops nearby to compare the price 1st. Anyway, next time buy from other shops. Edited October 20, 2005 by Wire
Vtim 3rd Gear October 21, 2005 Share October 21, 2005 You got anymore lobang for Denso Iridium Plugs? you should used NGK iridium IX, ZFR5FIX-11 as this is the one with the extended electrode to be used in Honda Vtec engines, you interested Denso IK16 is not the extended electrode type, if you want Denso iridium, then you should go for IK16-L. Gigacrusher Neutral Newbie October 23, 2005 Share October 23, 2005 Hi, Can anyone advise where to find Tanly? Need to get one for my Civic too. Just like the tread starter, I too got a shock when I discovered Kah Motor did not put in filter elements for my Civic! Am thinking of bringing the case to CASE!
