Toalson 1st Gear October 12, 2005 Share October 12, 2005 I guess the detailer is more suitable for removal of minor blemishes, whereas the wax is more to extend the protection coat. ↡ Advertisement

Roro77 Neutral Newbie October 12, 2005 Share October 12, 2005 wats the booster wax? THis is the NXT booster wax we talking about. Whats the diff between this NXT Booster Wax and the Meguiar Quik Wax ?
Gen2 Neutral Newbie October 12, 2005 Share October 12, 2005 Hi Brock, If you are thinking of a fast clean up job, than I suggest using the NXT QD. FOr NXT spray wax, you actually need to apply it like a wax (but much easier) wait for it to haze than wipe off. You might wan to take a look at the following link on the spray wax, http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums/showt...=&threadid=4167
Imuya Clutched October 12, 2005 Author Share October 12, 2005 Hi Soya, yea, i was also using HG88 before this. My bottle finished so i'm now at the experimental stage with other products.
Gen2 Neutral Newbie October 12, 2005 Share October 12, 2005 Whats the diff between this NXT Booster Wax and the Meguiar Quik Wax ? Below is a quote from MOL by Mike Philip, NXT Generation Spray WaxQuik Wax Either of Meguiar's two spray wax products work excellent by restoring a deep, rich, just-waxed look to your car's finish. The trick to using a Meguiar's Spray Wax and getting great results is primarily in your application technique. It's also very important that you're applying it to a painted finish in the right condition. The right condition is a finish that is in new or like-new condition and already has a good base-coat of wax on it. This is one of the reasons we coined the term, "Booster Wax" for the front label on NXT Tech Wax. The idea behind the term is to imply that Meguiar's Spray Waxes are product to be used on finishes that already have wax protection, not on neglected finishes in need of claying, cleaning and polishing. Hopefully it helps to clear out your doubts.
Imuya Clutched October 12, 2005 Author Share October 12, 2005 Hi Gen2, What's your take on NXT vs GC wax? think i read somewhere in another thread that NXT also has sealant properties in addition to being a wax? The price for both are almost similar, GC cheaper by a few bucks. For your detailing sessions, you're using NXT carwash right? Comments on the shampoo? Gen2 Neutral Newbie October 12, 2005 Share October 12, 2005 What's your take on NXT vs GC wax? Personnally I prefer the NXT look, deeper and wetter look. Because NXT is a fully synthetic wax so you can actually call it a sealant. But there have been very different views in term of the durability of NXT, some claim only a few weeks but others claim 2-3 months. For your detailing sessions, you're using NXT carwash right? For Meguiar car wash, I using the GC shampoo and have not tried out the NXT wash yet. I'm running low with the GC shampoo liao, so now considering NXT wash or the EO car wash. Btw NXT wash has received quite a number of good reviews from MCF and also from other detailing forum, so it should be OK to use.

Imuya Clutched October 12, 2005 Author Share October 12, 2005 Hi Lokturne, Hmm...been thinking about the "plastic-wet" shine. come to think of it, my car's front and rear bumpers are not metal but plastic, will it have any effect on the paint that was sprayed on it and consequently the effect on the shine that you can get?
Toalson 1st Gear October 13, 2005 Share October 13, 2005 To achieve that wet shine, the natural wax will do the trick. But looking at ur work, its shiny enuff imho
