Ghoonk Neutral Newbie October 6, 2005 Share October 6, 2005 Kena bitten by the detailing bug quite jialat this time. Am now looking for the following to supplement my detailing arsenal: Sonus SFX-1 Restore Polish Sonus SFX-2 Enhance Polish Sonus SFX-3 Final Polish Sonus Acrylic Glanz Sonus Acrylic Spritz Pinnacle Souveran Carnauba Wax or P21S carnauba wax Sonus Paintwork Cleanser Am also looking for a good paintwork cleanser. I've read about using rubbing alcohol-water mix, and someone recommended soft99 pre-wax cleanser (at $35, it'd make more sense to get the Swissol Cleaner Fluid). Swissol Cleaner Fluid and Cleaner Fluid Medium are also good options if anyone can get a good price for them. I'd stick with AIO, but I've got some light scratches that I would like to polish out instead of filling in. If anyone has any idea where to get any of the above products, I'd very veyr much appreciate it :) ↡ Advertisement
Gen2 Neutral Newbie October 6, 2005 Share October 6, 2005 Sonus products - http://www.autopia-carcare.com/pcdepot.html Pinnacle Souveran Carnauba Wax or P21S carnauba wax - http://www.autogeek.net/carnauba-wax.html Am also looking for a good paintwork cleanser. Paint cleaner from P21S, Meguiar and Mother's are all good paint cleaner you can rely on.
Ghoonk Neutral Newbie October 6, 2005 Author Share October 6, 2005 Thanks for the reply on the pain cleaners. As for the rest of the stuff, i found em on autopia but am looking for a local source as I've just realised that shipping is going to kill me big time. sonus, poorboy's, pinnacle, and that waffle weave drying cloth that the autopians are waxing lyrical about -- all on my want list and no way to get em in affordably :(
Lokturne Neutral Newbie October 7, 2005 Share October 7, 2005 SFX-3 actually works quite well as a paint cleaner as its abrasive level is very low. If you want a dedicated paint cleaner then those mentioned are good. www.waxit.com.au has Poorboys and Pinnacle, but they're in Australia, so should be cheaper than ordering from the US, but probably still costs a bit. I guess it's no harm asking them for a shipping price. Otherwise, just order everything from Autopia or Autogeek in one shot. It might cost a bit, but think about what your car is worth to you. Ghoonk Neutral Newbie October 7, 2005 Author Share October 7, 2005 Looks like my options are quite limited. Will probably order and send from Australia then. Thanks for the link! :)

Marcostan 4th Gear October 8, 2005 Share October 8, 2005 I'm using vPost recently, brought one gallon of wax from USA. It take one month to arrive Singapore and the damage is S$40.00.

Steelblue Neutral Newbie October 8, 2005 Share October 8, 2005 Isn't that a bit pricy for a gallon of wax? What wax did ya get btw? I've a gallon of QD,some polishes, a couple of waxes, some mfs, leather conditioner on the way from Hawaii and it costs me US$50+ , I'm in Brunei btw so the charges should be comparable..estimate arriving in 7-10days..can't wait

Another website i made purchases from is www.premiumautocare.com(they had free USA shipping just last week) or www.Amazon.com, some products have free shipping. Happy shopping!! Cheers
Ghoonk Neutral Newbie October 8, 2005 Author Share October 8, 2005 coltagious, how much can you get the pakshaks for? also, if you're getting any stuff shipped in, any savings we can enjoy if we consolidate our orders?
Steelblue Neutral Newbie October 8, 2005 Share October 8, 2005 Just a note, I always get good services from premiumautocare, 10% discount if you use the discount code "detailcity" before checking out. For Pakshak, email Ranney the boss for 'autopiamember' price
Chgoh Neutral Newbie October 9, 2005 Share October 9, 2005 (edited) I'm using vPost recently, brought one gallon of wax from USA. It take one month to arrive Singapore and the damage is S$40.00. I guess if one ships liquid (i.e. heavy stuff), it going to be quite a cost. If the product itself is inexpensive, then it might be even more illogical. It is always a good idea to plan ahead and consolidate shipment when using vPost to save on the fix charge of S$9.99. I have recently purchased and ship 2 can of waxes from the US that cost me S$6 apportioned to ship, when I consider the vPost discount given. This was with other stuff on the same shipment. On it own I guess it would have cost ~S$16. The waxes themselves cost US$30 (~S$51). Edited October 9, 2005 by Chgoh
Coltagious Neutral Newbie October 9, 2005 Share October 9, 2005 the ultra and ultra plush MF towel cost S$9.80 and S$13.80 respectively and the waffle weave towel cost 26.80. The local distributor seems to carry quite a small range of products. Regarding consolidating, i have already placed my order and they should be shipped real soon, so i guess this time is not possible, but i definately wun mind sharing with u the next time round. Btw, i think the autopia-carcare website gives free local shipping for purchases above US$70, so if u intend to make a big purchase, u can take advantage of the free local shipping and get them to send thru vpostusa. I think there are many references to P21S that the S100 wax for motorcycles is actually the same stuff and much cheaper too. You can get it at Harley Davidson shop on Leng Kee Road. ↡ Advertisement
