Silgt Neutral Newbie September 4, 2007 Share September 4, 2007 (edited) I remember reading somewhere that Hi-88 is actually rebranded Car-Lack (a German product). Is it true? AFAIK...Carlack rebottle for Klasse (US mkt), Polylack (Japanese mkt) and Jeff Werkstatt. Hi-Glaze 88 seems to have been blended with other cleaners/chemicals locally as the colour and viscosity is a bit different from the rest. If JW can blend their stuff with other products to come up with subtle variations, why not Hi-Glaze? Edited September 4, 2007 by Silgt
Dipstick Neutral Newbie September 4, 2007 Share September 4, 2007 That means, Carlack = Klasse = Polylack = J Werkstatt ? "Hi-Glaze 88 seems to have been blended with other cleaners/chemicals locally"....... that means, Hi-88 could be the illegitimate half-brother of Klasse (same father different mother)? Newcar 1st Gear September 4, 2007 Share September 4, 2007 Just to share here with detailing Brothers, Me recently had switched from HG-88 (Being using for 3 years) to Amway Silicon Glaze. Why... wittness myself on a friend's car whom applied the latter since day 1 of drive. Condition still Swee Swee...! My personal observations & Opinon: HG-88 is good but doesn't last long...! Imagine after a recent heavy rain, obersved yourself..Oops.. Pai Sey dilute with water for every car wash... very nice with mimimum so called protection. But, the buffing process leaves much residues and powder. Silicon Glaze seems last longer.. Has not being wash car for past 2 weeks and rain water still rebels. Easier to wax and buff, leaving much much less residues when compared to HG-88. Me left my blance HG-88 aside lor...

Cactus Clutched September 5, 2007 Share September 5, 2007 hi bro, does the amway glaze has any cleaning/polishing properties? or isit just like a wax? my fren just used it on his 6 mth old ride and the shine is very apparent.
