Nah....just my way of dealing with disappointment as the could-be-better handling of the the local car scene (and the fact that some car drivers actually know better) which I personally believe could be so much better.

The Focus models in Aus actually only have the 2.0 duratec models, in manual and auto form.

Yes, yesssssssss...in Australia they've also got 2.3-ltr Mazda3's, 3-ltr Camry's and 5.7-ltr Commodore HSV's. And all of them manuals on the transmission tunnel instead of the glovebox. What a drivers' paradise that'll be....(ok, maybe not the Camry )....

 

Trouble is we're like 6-8 hours off target, by air....

Well, the surprise that came along the 1.4 having a manual transmission was kinda dampened by the fact that the 1.6 didn't but yeah, I'd strongly recommend a test drive.

 

And, oh, find out of they could add a bit more feel to the clutch too, while you're at it

 

And, yes, wheelspin, but not from me - I'm one of them docile, non-aggressive types
