i have converted to meguire products....the polish is really good (as in lots of conditioner and oil).You can see the metallic flakes poping out when the sun is shinning, which i dont see it after applying soft99 stuff.

question to all...i had jus done my klasse on 29oct.had it done at de unity ctr shop.how long can de thing last?...i was thinking of DIY de next time.do i need to clay the car again?or can i jus do AIO + SG?

Which range of products from meguire do u use for polishing that won u over?

 

N to which Soft99 did u compared against?

 

N just to add, do u have any experience with AIO? If so how did it stack up against meguire?

FPII is different to AIO. It's a mild polish. AIO is more of a cleaner-polish.

So you'd use FPII, then AIO and finish off with a wax or sealant.

Both are excellent products, but you can't really compare them against each other.

confused.gif but both r still polish rite? Just tat they use different method in polishing as stated.

 

I'm just curious to know which help to achieve a better surface prep and give a good undercoat prior to sealant/wax.

i'm using the DC#2, deep crystal polish step 2 for polish.

DC#1 is the paint cleaner.

 

Actually, the thing that make me start converting to meguire's stuff was the wash mitt. [:p] . Then i slowly switch over to meguire stuff and was satisfied with the result. Also, i find that meguire has the complete range of products from car wash to engine detailing and has a forum for you to ask question, which i find soft99 is lacking.

 

The soft99 products which i have tried are: the claybar, yellow bottle carwash (forgot name), Kizz clear R (this one give a [thumbsdown], so hard to remove and stains), 9mth pure sealant liquid (still have a bottle for dark car, this is good,easy to use,shines), and authentic premium paste wax (finishing soon, less beading than NXT).

 

And the meguire products i am having now are: NXT carwash (bought coz got discount), DC carwash, DC#1, DC#2, body scrub, Cleaner wax, NXT wax(glossy look), washmitt(this is the best), wax applicators (even coat and hi-tech)[thumbsup] and MF towels [thumbsup] . And thinking to add GC wax after the finishing the authentic and scratchX/colorX for quicker swirl & scratches removing. [hur]

 

Never tried the AIO so cant comment.

 

For a good surface prep, i would go claybar (optional, depends whether rough),clean and polish b4 adding wax.

I'm slightly confused over step 1 n 2. One a paint cleaner n the other a polish. Wats the difference?

 

The only think that hold me back from Meg is their price.smallcry.gif
