Airwave05 Neutral Newbie September 10, 2005 Share September 10, 2005 So far, my exposure to tire is only limited to Bridgestone B391 (Mazda 323), Michelin MXT (Renault 21GTS & Mazda 323), Yokohama Aspec (Odyssey) and Falken ST115 (Mazda 323). Quietness + Dry/Wet Control on ST115 is good. Care to share your list of Quiet Tires c/w good Dry & Wet Control? Cheers ! ↡ Advertisement

Freebies - nitrogen, rotation. 6mth interest free with UOB Credit card. Free rotation every 10k, free nitrogen, puncture repair. BUT I've to cough out $60 for 4 wheel computerised alignment! Dirtrider_ak Neutral Newbie December 30, 2005 Share December 30, 2005 Quote Quote Hi All Looking at 195/55 R15. Still whether to go for DNA dB or Falken ST115. Tried ST115 for some 6 months before changing car. I love the feel, quietness & control. However, feedback from some is that it wears easily $$$ Any experience & feedback on both tires? Appreciate advice if any. Cheers! Quietness for ST115? Dude, are you tone-deaf? I know this is a bit too late but to review it takes time. I am running on the yoko es501 made in japan printed. The tyre is better than the aspec dB. Aspec dB cannot make it on wet road lahh. terrible ! but the DNA version has improved a lot. No more skidding on MSCP during rainy days. Super soft and quiet. As for wear and tear, hmm i installed it on sept 2005, can see coming down a bit on the front. I am running 35psi and still look flat ! hahaha. It is a good buy but kenna carrot. I paid $115 each. It is good at corner till around 70km/h on wet road, did not push furthur as with bad experience with the older aspec dB tyres, it drifted. So for normal driving and comfort good buy. Usually i cannot hear my engine on my optra. Now I can hear them .....hahaha Don't blame me if it is not up to your expectations. It met my expectations. hahaha
Carstyle Neutral Newbie December 31, 2005 Share December 31, 2005 What size is your ES501? Does it come in 185/55-R15? There is another premium comfort AVS DB Decibel. Anyone using it?
Dirtrider_ak Neutral Newbie January 6, 2006 Share January 6, 2006 (edited) I am using ES501 195/55/15 can get it at thomson rd. I think they don't have the 185/55/15, why don't u try 195 at the shop to see if the clearance is cleared then use the 195 ?? consider upgrade man. As for AVS dB, they are more to performance tyres. Looks like slowly all dB tyres will be superceeded by DNA. Not sure don't quote me. Edited January 6, 2006 by Dirtrider_ak

Katou Neutral Newbie July 10, 2006 Share July 10, 2006 (edited) Aspec DB is a dry weather drift tires.. Gripping nt fantastic. Very slippery tires i can say as i'm on it for 1yr. Especially on raining days, nv speed! Else u'll regret it! Apply abit of hard braking and ABS kick in oready and u could feel the back is losing it's grip.
