Vit4wd 1st Gear August 27, 2005 Share August 27, 2005 "The next statement "If manufacturing cars like Proton is so good in M'sia, why hasnt Singapore manufactured our own cars?" Ask yourself "If you can sell paper (COE) and make the same money as Malaysia which has to set up a plant to manufacture cars, which option would you choose? ↡ Advertisement
Spoonsports Neutral Newbie August 27, 2005 Share August 27, 2005 personal opinion, will not touch jiu hu cars. so what if they have lotus backing? or even lotus platform? once proton, always proton, saga or waja. actually i do not knw whether u hav anything against jiu hu or wat. but to me, i PERSONALLY think that it a good car for heavy MOD or normal driving. went over to PG last 2 week and saw a heavy MOD wajaVO fitted with EVO8 Bumper and TC. tailing another EVO7 thru the race. another case is their well knw proton wira TC normal looking ride winning almost all the race against spore (so called MOD cars) so to me i will consider getting jiu hu car with looks are not involved. Darknight73 Neutral Newbie August 27, 2005 Share August 27, 2005 perhaps you should ask yourself why then is it good for heavy mod. perhaps there are things that are missing and allows moding to take place? or there should be more modding coz the car is not functioning at its optimum and therefore allows more space for improvement. my belief is that any car can be mod, as long as you have the dough to do it. have you seen pictures of a jap car being transformed into a ferrari? yes, cosmetics only, but it can also be done. putting a RR engine into a mini is also possible, even if it means adding more weight in the event the car literally flies. end of the day, yes, i do not support malaysia because i m a believer of my own country. i do not impose my views on others, only voice, and that is my freedom of speech, and my right. before anyone can gain respect, they must earn it and not badmouth others all the time, if you know what i mean. if its all muscle and no thought, you are just an empty vessel, and as we all know, they create the greatest din that is most irritating. Gamax Neutral Newbie August 31, 2005 Share August 31, 2005 (edited) Hi, wish to know more about Waja 1.8. Anyone care to give some comments in terms of stuff that can be modded? FC? etc... Thanks Even the msian is not buying proton why u want to join in? the proton car like in 80's like that never even to bother to facelift the car. For your info, proton has RM1.1 billion proton car unsold......... I dun think those lazy workers there will be working harder when they knew that batch of cars is for export... So i doubt the Quality for Proton will be better for those made for SG. Also why buy a car cursed by 20 million Msian? scrali the car curse shift to You.
