Genie47 1st Gear August 23, 2005 Share August 23, 2005 (edited) I'm a cheapskate. These are the stuff I would use: Vinegar baking soda bleach borax (not cheap but 1 big box of 20 Mule Team Borax is 7.50) crystal clear ammonia (6.50 for a gallon but Liberty Market don't sell anymore) trisodium phosphate (TSP) tile cleaner Wait a minute.....I got ingredients to make a bomb. Kklim Supercharged August 23, 2005 Share August 23, 2005 (edited) Caution: don't use the blue blocks in yr water cistern and toilet bowl. Will eat right thru the cistern or PVC pipe after prolonged use. Might end up paying for yr downstairs neighbour's repair work. Contax 1st Gear August 23, 2005 Share August 23, 2005 Yup. Same here too. Not 100% but the hot steam loosens the trapped dirt making it easier to clean/brush off. For me, I use an old toothbush after the steam has done its work.... Cleaning is always hard work man....hehe....I almost couldn't getup after I finish my bathroom.... Last night i try using it on my hall flooring. The problem is the steam-turn-water after you spray(steam).....after 15minutes I 'm mopping the floor and the stain only goes off a bit when i inspect this morning. Ex_vagrant Neutral Newbie August 23, 2005 Author Share August 23, 2005 Hi...the way I do is to brush off the dirt after steaming with some water and cloth to wipe the dirt away... Maybe the dirt has settled back in after 15 mins so not very effective... My two cents worth...
Wheeler Neutral Newbie August 25, 2005 Share August 25, 2005 (edited) Karcher is good... I've been looking around for powersupply at MSCP so that can steam my seats. But most power point I saw are the special rounded pins type leh.But actually nothing great about the steamer's cleaning power, u won't see the stubborn stains like brake dust on rims flowing off. Instead it may loosen up abit and then makes brushing it off later easier abit. BTW Ex_vagrant, ur rims coated with brake dust issit ??? The best way to stop brake dust is to stop using brake totally. Edited August 25, 2005 by Wheeler
Chucky88 Neutral Newbie August 31, 2005 Share August 31, 2005 I also bought myself a steam cleaner, selling at Home Fix shop at $88, the mini one, brand is Advante. You can buy the adaptor so that you can use it in your home as well as multi-storey carpark using that adaptor without changing the plug. It can use to clean your leather seats and also air-con for killing germs and bacterias but have not try on my car leather seats yet. ↡ Advertisement
