Brudder,

There will some who swear by it, some who swear at it.....but basically these are little add-ons that prey on your intelligence or lack of it...... [laugh][laugh][laugh] Most people will FEEL some sort of improvement becos they paid something out of their pocket....hence they are fooling themselves to FEEL some sort of improvement. I know personally of an Octy driver ( used to frequent here too ) who installed one of the gizmos who swears at it now !! HE has since changed his ride too........

At the end of it .....its your $$ .....so its up to you how you wish to spend ..rite ??

I had one in my old ride... didn't feel a thing...but my volt gauge become more stable after that (it was previously going from 12 to 14 all the time up and down)

Now have one in my present ride... don't feel any difference also...

Reason why I still use it? Heck... I got it super cheap... just dump it in... [:p]

These kinda things are not mod parts. They are kmown as accessories or gizmos. All these gizmos come with the same familiar tagline.

Save fuel, Increase throttle response, Headlight become brighter and air-con become colder. Familiar dude? [:p]

Be it air injector lah, volt stabilizer lah, venturi one two or three lah, E68 or E whatever, magnet power blah blah, they're are all what I call the "Pay money so I feel something theory". Its all by feeling and not 100% proven. Unlike cams, cold air, exhaust..these are proven mod stuffs and dont go by feeling. [cool]

The only thing which I feel may help by 10-20% is the grounding cables which helps mostly on older cars. If all these gizmos really help so much, wouldnt the car manufacturers include it in since its probably only 0.1% of their cost. Think about it... [scholar]

Hi,

I was once very taken in by the claims of magnets, grounding cables, voltage stabilisers. I have tried some of the items on my B14 Sunny. No effect at all.

For most VAG vehicles, there is some measure of voltage stabilisation in the power train. If u r keen, I will see if I can dig out any info on the VAG power train.

Side track abit...thou of driving up to Genting in late Oct. Drive up the hill on "D" or shift 1 gear lower? Any advice?

Do not try on D, as it will stall easily as you try to accelerate in order to move uphill (does not mean you are driving very fast). Try the lower settings like 2 and move up accordingly, if you think the car can handle it, then move to a upper setting. You might want to use the auto setting like a manual in order to overcome the gradients. More importantly, when coming downhill, do not use beyond 2, as you need the engine breaking instead of your brakes. The brake will be easily heated up, worse, it might wear off totally, depending on the state of it.
