It really depands on how far you want to follow the recommanded method to use the Zaino system. Before Zaino develop their swirl remover, they recommand using Dawn to wash the car first to get rid of all other wax or sealant on the car. Zaino system bonds best with the paint itself. Now with the swirl remover from Zaino, you can do a polish with it follow with Z2pro without bonding issue.

So if you are not so particular on the durability or bonding problem, in fact you can prep the car with those not so oily product, eg. AIO or SRP, before applying Zaino system. Hope this help [;)] .

Just one more question. Assume that I have been using all Zaino products and time to clay and re-treat the surface. After washing, clay bar, and re wash and dry...to remove some imperfection, do I use product like SRP or AIO on the affect areas, then apply Z1 follow by either Z2 or Z5 and finish it with Z6...or go straight to Z1 and the rest?

I'm not too sure wat kind of imperfection you are talking about here and whether SRP or AIO can help you to remove it.

Assuming you want to follow the full Zaino system, you will be adviced to use their new polish to remove any surface defects than you can straight away proceed to Z1 follow by Z2 and so on.. So if you are not using their polish than you are adviced to dawn wash your car first before you start the Zaino system.

But from some Zaino user in US, they claimed there is no problem to use AIO before the Zaino system and it should not affect the bonding of Zaino to the paint work. So if you choose to follow this method, after you use whatever product to remove the imperfection, always clean the paint with AIO first before starting the Zaino system.

And let's say you have been using Zaino system all along, than you will only need to reapply Z1 every 6 months and in between you can maintain with just the Z2, Z5, Z6 or Z8 combination.

Imperfections like, water spots, stains, etc. Does Zaino has a polish to remove such thing. I tot they only Z5 to fill up swirl marks etc. Maybe I should check their website again. Thanks [;)]

From your question I would assume the water spots are etched marks, if by hand application, I would recommand ScratchX or if you happen to have ColorX or Mother's Cleaner Wax you can also give them a try.

Thanks bro. Will try in out. My water spots was quite "badly" etched into it, the deep crystal paint cleaner doesn't remove it, hopefully the mother's wax can remove.

Anyway, today was at autobacs and they are having 20% discount on meguiars products. Those want to try meguiars, good time to stock up.

You are welcome [;)] . If you have tried using the paint cleaner but failed than I suggest that you get the ScratchX instead of the Mother's Cleaner Wax.

Any idea if autoglym resin polish can be used with Z2?

Yes it can be.

More effective will be Autoglym Radiant Wax Polish, an industrial version of autoglym resin polish. Unfortunately only sold in large can costing abt $115.

You mean Meguiars ScratchX? Is it good at removing watermarks? Does it work well along side Zaino? Testamony anyone?

Yup. It is good only if you use it the right way.

If you are concern about the bonding issue with Zaino product, than do a dawn wash after applying ScratchX. Otherwise the best option is to wait for the arrival of the Zaino swirl removal polish.
