Vit4wd 1st Gear November 29, 2005 Share November 29, 2005 (edited) Quote I heard from someone that his Kelisa give him 14 km/L is this bad for a 1L car? picanto give me only 9-13 km./L.. still not as good as compared to Kelisa.. Did you upgrade your rims and tyres? Probably so, right? The stock 155/70R13 tyres don't give such poor mileage. Vit4wd 1st Gear November 29, 2005 Share November 29, 2005 Sports version tyre is 185/60R14, right? Ya, a bit too broad for 1.1l auto car. No doubt you get excellent grip & great looks but at the expense of acceleration power and fuel consumption.
Wbucket Clutched November 29, 2005 Share November 29, 2005 Wow! I didn't know Picanto's sport version is 185! No wonder the super poor FC.
Kelisa10 Neutral Newbie November 30, 2005 Share November 30, 2005 I just get my kelisa auto mid of Nov05. Now just reach 900km. poor FC, maybe due to not run in yet and now original tyre is R14. i did try on 95/97 and Vpower (in msia) petrol. Feel Vpower give me more power. Pick a bit slow as i am a light footer (2-2.3k rpm). hit 80km/h at 3k rpm (air off is 2.9k rpm). What is the best speed with highest gear to get better FC? is it 80km/h? I have problem to open my hatch back door. sometimes very hard to open it (or unable). dun know others have the same problem or not? Thinking of installing a super charger, heard from my msia friend that will save petrol and get better perfomance (more power). He install it on his GETZ and it save his petrol for 30%. is it true? I still cannt understand why figure showed on web said picanto get better FC than kelisa but... - kelisa weight lighter - kelisa cc smaller i thinking of go to msia for servicing after 3 service free. but SE said that will void my warranty. Does it worth or not? what is the price different?
Wbucket Clutched November 30, 2005 Share November 30, 2005 Bro, I can't really share much cause I am driving a manual car and know nuts about auto. Hatch door......not problem with mine, maybe I always pull the handle like there is no tomorrow. I once pull so much that the plastic handle came off the metal skeleton, then found out the door already un-latched, silly me. Super-charger. I hoped your pocket is deep. Now words have gone around that our small car is constantly in the limelight, so no more small car they (TP, LTA) don't care. Anyway, super charger isn't going to save your fuel, if it doesn't increase it, you will be thanking GOD. Stock car is the best for FC. As for comparsion with Picanto. I can only say it depends on the driver. Isn't there a auto picanto driver who is clocking about 13km/L, although that sport rims might be a cause, but root is still the driver. Waranty......you tell people I am not going to their shop and going to let someone else earn their money, of course they say things like that. Anyway, I haven't confirm this info yet, but Malaysia side honour our waranty. So who cares about the JnJ's waranty. Lastly, why are you still not going to the kelisa club forum? Where else is the best place to get info about Kelisa? Having a meet-up at kallang on the 14th Dec, do drop by. I show you the fastest auto and the most modded auto kelisa. Vit4wd 1st Gear November 30, 2005 Share November 30, 2005 Take it easy for now and allow your Kelisa to run in first. I believe your Kelisa runs on 165/60R14 tyres, which is pretty alright compared to the Picanto Sports version's 185/60R14, which is a tat too broad for a 1.1l auto. After run in, your consumption shd be around 13km/l. You just got to remember that your auto tranny has to work harder than usual as your engine capacity is just 998cc, hence consumption may suffer. But just accept your ride for what it is and enjoy it.
Wbucket Clutched December 1, 2005 Share December 1, 2005 Stock sport tyre for kelisa is 165/55R14. Actually 13km/L for even auto kelisa would also mean driver isn't maximising the FC. Normally auto kelisa should clock at least 15km/L average to about 16km/L. Vit4wd 1st Gear December 1, 2005 Share December 1, 2005 Let's just say if you push your Kelisa auto like you would to a Ferrari, at least you still get 13km/l, and not 1 digit consumption figures
Wbucket Clutched December 1, 2005 Share December 1, 2005 (edited) ......I do wonder how would I push a Ferrari? Can't step too hard, can I? Cause I would break the speed limit in a blink of an eye! For Kelisa, at least got about 10sec before reaching 60km/h. Anyway, got friend driving manual kelisa clocking 10-11km/L and the rims ain't big either. Vit4wd 1st Gear December 1, 2005 Share December 1, 2005 How come so bad mileage for Kelisa manual? Unbelievable! What mileage is that car?
Wbucket Clutched December 1, 2005 Share December 1, 2005 He mod very heavily. ICE, neon lights, 7 meters, 3 E68, 2 monster,...... So much things, of course FC suffer.
Atlantis_boi Clutched December 2, 2005 Share December 2, 2005 Is it the KElisa tat appeared in the Hotstuff Mag sometime back? I rem the 7 meters
Wbucket Clutched December 2, 2005 Share December 2, 2005 Bingo. As far as I know that is the first sg kelisa in Magzine. Ya that 7 meters. When he first show up, from outside, like giving speech or conference like that. Those things sure look like mics. Of course, his FC also have something to do with the fact that his accelerator is like stick to the floor all the time.
Vit4wd 1st Gear December 2, 2005 Share December 2, 2005 I can understand why the mileage is so bad now. Wonder how much did he spend on his car for these after mkt mods?
Slinky Neutral Newbie December 2, 2005 Share December 2, 2005 Yes, 14km/L is bad for a 1L be it manual or auto, regardless how its driven.
Slinky Neutral Newbie December 2, 2005 Share December 2, 2005 How much BHP did he manage to up with all that mod? Why even bother spending so much money modding that car? At the end of the day, he's probably better off getting a bigger car with a bigger engine capacity, same or better FC, bigger seating space and bigger boot space.
Wbucket Clutched December 2, 2005 Share December 2, 2005 Don't know, maybe about 10 horses. But a large part is spend on ICE, decos, which in fact only add weight to the car. I guess it is about getting a cheap car, and having money to fully personnalise it. ↡ Advertisement
