I pump everytime I pump petrol. Don't need money one ma! [:p] Sometimes you will be surprise when there is 1-2 "ding". [sweatdrop] Anyway, Picanto auto is renown for being weak and driver might sub-consiously gas more just to keep up with the traffic. So as much as possible to keep away from the right-most lane and your FC should improve. Drive at around 80km/h would be about the best speed when on expressway. [scholar]

I being a small car driver too. Your usual urge to "teach" those who bully you already give your heavy-footed nature away. In order to overtake car, a great amount of gasing is needed to first increase speed quickly and also to maintain the high speed needed to by-pass the car. This is definitely not the behaviour of a light-foot driver. Even though you might argue that you only overtake occasionally, and you are light during your crusing time, but the short blast to overtake had already eat away a large amount of petrol, especially for a car such as ours. Being auto and weaker than a manual isn't helping too. [shakehead]

Secondly, the fact you drive above 80kph normally also let the cat out of the bag. Light foot drivers drive below 80kph, sometimes 70kph on lane 2 or lane 3. I guess you should also know that no road in singapore has a limit of 100kph. Thus I can safety assume you are indeed a heavy-foot driver. [nod]

Getting Picanto by default, you shouldn't expect it to fly. I have heard Picanto ave above 15km/L, so I can say your driving style is really not suitable for this small car. So you need to decide whether to change your driving habit or suffer the price of petrol. [scholar]

but occasionally, driving on expressways if going below 80km/h is considered road hogging??

yup, I do agree, that sometimes, I tend to go faster on expressways when the road is pretty smooth.. but not because I am impatient.

Guess, it is more worth while to change driving patterns then to pay for it.. I am just a poor civilian.. laugh.giflaugh.gif

Thanx for enlightening me!! Shall monitor my FC for my next 3 pumps... drivingcar.gif

You are not hogging if you keep left when you ain't overtaking. Even if you are driving at 130kph on the right lane when the front and left lane is empty, and here comes a faster vechicle, you are still consider road hogging. Just don't drive below 60kph, else lorry will run you over. NOT! cause you will be running on lower gears which would be bad for FC. Do you know at what minimum speed can you keep your car at its highest gear? That should be the best speed to drive your car. [nod]

Anyway, 5k serving, maybe can change to full-syn. Just maybe.
