Kaer Neutral Newbie August 4, 2005 Share August 4, 2005 My car went in for a respray few days ago. Now I notice there is a layer of something on the front windscreen. Could be some coating from the respraying that ended up on the windscreen or... Like a layer of mist, can feel it, not smooth. Had tried washing with mamalemon but still there. Any other solution I can use before I go back to the workshop again? ↡ Advertisement

It is the clear coat laquer that settled down on your windscreen. They probably did not cover properly with newspaper. Use a strong abrasive polish with a lot of elbow grease and bull strength, sure come out.
Ahhuat 1st Gear August 4, 2005 Share August 4, 2005 i'd say dont bother doing it urself. get them to remove whatever it is. i think it's the clearcoat. doing it urself, u mite damage something and waste energy. energy you could have spent on something else!!
