why not just get EG9.

VERY fast. Superb engine(B16A). not too sure whether depreciation is about 4k.

gotta check that out.

Its a very good car. Better than all that was mentioned, FC good if you dont redline all the time. However, hard to find one in good condition.

Oh ya and can only sit 4 people.

if you're plannning to use it for 5 yrs at least, why don't u hunt for $101 coe cars?

they're quiet easy to find. i came across 3 while looking for my current ride.

not popular as selling value much higher than paper value, still, its below 4K/yr.

but only if u plan to keep it till the end.

If Jap car but made in Thai ... Then Toyota Vios would be close to yr requirement.

If die die made in Jap, think only Suzuki liana 1.3.

Both are abt $51K

very difficult to find a good condition eg9. most got accidents and manual only. moreover, most of them are mod to the extend that the salesman dont even know what is inside and what is not... better to leave this kind of cars to the more challenging category of people.

yes i agree.

Oh btw, its a blessing that there is ONLY MANUAL for the EG9. Auto would be a shame...just my 2cents.

You are absolutely right about the 'challenging people' people. It is very very very difficult to find one in good condition.

However, there were 9(i think) EG9s released in 1998. The ONLY ones which are not COE paid. This was a limited edition release. I almost bought one, but i went for the SIR instead.

Maybe you can get hold of these 'newer' EG9s

Your annual dep budget is $4K.

But have you considered that for those >10yr car, you have to pay rd tax surcharge, higher maintanance etc... end up you pay more.
