With its decades of experience working with high-end supercars, Hong Seh Motors brings its Authorised Dealer level of service to you at a reasonable cost.

There are thousands of car workshops in Singapore - some aim to offer the lowest prices, some specialise on body work, and some tackle complicated repairs. Spoilt by so many choices, how then do you know which workshop to entrust your car to?

For most owners of new cars, it isn't difficult - the Authorised Dealers will handle it. But what if your car runs out of warranty and complimentary servicing packages, and you still want that top-tier service standard without paying through your nose?

With Hong Seh Motors, that is exactly what you will get.

Decades of experience as a supercar Authorised Dealer - Hong Seh Motors

Unlike your typical workshops, Hong Seh Motors was the former authorised dealer of Ferrari and Maserati cars in Singapore that has decades of experience in the industry - it clinched the Ferrari distributorship here back in 1983.

There are plenty of differences between an authorised dealer workshop and a typical workshop, and it all lies in the facility, equipment, skill level of technicians and the level of service that you’ll receive.

Due to the close working relationship between authorised dealers and car manufacturers, they are held to a certain standard. In fact, it is common practice for the technicians and mechanics to receive training from the manufacturer before they are certified to work on the cars. And you can just imagine how stringent the training would be when it comes to supercar manufacturers.

Skilled technicians aside, authorised dealers are also required to be equipped with quality equipment and tools. As an ex-authorised dealer workshop that works on supercars, Hong Seh has invested in top-of-the-line equipment to ensure the best quality work possible.

It recently invested $2 million on its workshop and equipment to ensure top-tier work on its client’s cars. Among its equipment is a chassis alignment measuring robotic arm and jig from Carbench, making it the only bodyshop in Singapore to be authorised by Carbench. Carbench is an Italian brand that produces equipment that are used by manufacturers such as Maserati, Jaguar, Ferrari, Porsche and Tesla.

Hong Seh also has an environmentally friendly paint shop, which includes an electric paint booth from Saima, and uses PPG water-based paint - its paint shop is authorised by PPG (the same brand of paint that Ferrari uses). With these equipment, Hong Seh is a workshop that is capable of complete refurbishment of cars to a standard expected of an authorised dealer.

Its team consists of mechanics who have been working with the company for over 20 years. On top of the rich experience that its team has, Hong Seh Motors has also kept up with the times and is fully capable of working on EVs. The team is IMI trained to work on EVs, and is equipped with the necessary tools for working on high-voltage systems. As such, it is able to work on the high-voltage EV systems, including diagnosis and repairs of EV batteries.

As Hong Seh Motors also has its own car leasing department, it has been working on cars of all makes and model. Hence, no matter what car you drive, you can be rest assured that Hong Seh would be able to resolve your issue.

Reasonably priced services with top-tier workmanship

Getting skilled mechanics to work on your car with quality equipment and parts might sound expensive, but it isn’t the case here. Hong Seh Motors insists on two main things: it always emphasises on quality, no matter how small the job is, or how tough it could be, and it promises to provide an authorised dealer level of service at a reasonable price.

Yet another perk of going to a workshop that adopts an authorised dealer’s approach would be its clear and transparent processes - with everything properly explained to you, there’s no worries of hidden charges or any shock when you get your bill.

Hong Seh Motors is located at 10 Fourth Lok Yang Road, Singapore 629707. It is open on Mondays to Fridays, from 8:15am to 6:00pm. Staying or working in the West? Hong Seh is a top contender to consider for your automotive needs. You can find out more and book an appointment with Hong Seh Motors at its website

  • Japan: The trend that became a turn-off

Ahh Japan. The destination that many travellers desire. The perennial trending subject on social media. Japanese cuisine, culture, quirks, technology, and everything kawaii have inspired endless posts, stories, reels, YouTube videos, and TikToks. If one didn't know better, you'd think it was the dream destination on this planet. While I love the food, the service and the shopping, the sheer number of tourists (me included) has become a turn-off. I'm not talking about those who inconven

Journey to the West: First Steps in Southwestern China, Pt. 1

It used to be that when a person was visiting China for the first time, the natural choice was Beijing. No better way to learn about a country than a visit to its capital, amirite? Having had their fill of Peking duck and climbed the Great Wall of China, the next places they would likely look at are those on the east coast - Shanghai, Nanjing, perhaps Harbin. In recent times though, the southwestern parts of China have gotten much coverage on social media. Chongqing, the country’s largest c

Journey to the West: First Steps in Southwestern China, Pt. 2

Note: Click here to read Pt. 1, where the journey began in Hong Kong. NEXT UP: CHONGQING Day 3, cont.: Dad had decided on the scenic route to Chongqing - train. We did not realise that the immigration process at the Hong Kong Kowloon West station involved both the Hong Kong and Chinese authorities, so we found ourselves in a rush to board the train (we boarded minutes before the scheduled departure). Through the eight-hour journey, the passing sights made me realise the diversity

    Zebras

On a recent podcast episode, this hilarious nugget of information was brought up: "Zebras have the loudest farts".  What.  I have spent some time Googling this, and I cannot yet definitely verify the accuracy of this statement. But there is some scientific basis to it - zebras are hindgut fermenters, and there's a whole bunch of biology behind it but the important takeaway is that yes, zebras fart plenty. This also explains their 'bum-heavy' shape, similar to cows, horses, el
