Cyclists pay no heed to traffic and blocks entire lane at West Coast Highway

TL;DR - Cyclists blocked the entire lane at West Coast highway and failed to conform to red light.

Agree to disagree: Cyclists are the true king of the road.

Watch this 57-second video to see what I mean.

What happened?

The peloton were seen taking up the lane at West Coast highway and failed to conform to traffic regulations by beating the red light.

This seems to be a norm amongst cyclists in Singapore - to gather in large groups and cycle on the roads.

Which shouldn’t be the case!

Stricter fines have been imposed to counter such road pests. Not sure if its sufficient enough to prevent all these self-entitled two-wheelers though.

Takeaway

Our paths and roads are shared spaces. We should consider the safety of our fellow travelers, no matter whether we drive, walk, cycle or ride active mobility devices.

More like they don't know how to deal with them!😁

Just imagine what if only 4 officers vs at least 40 or 50 men. How to win?😁

  • Japan: The trend that became a turn-off

Ahh Japan. The destination that many travellers desire. The perennial trending subject on social media. Japanese cuisine, culture, quirks, technology, and everything kawaii have inspired endless posts, stories, reels, YouTube videos, and TikToks. If one didn't know better, you'd think it was the dream destination on this planet. While I love the food, the service and the shopping, the sheer number of tourists (me included) has become a turn-off. I'm not talking about those who inconven

My favourite racing game is back!

THERE'S A NEW TOKYO XTREME RACER GAME ON THE WAYYYY!!!! This is the best news for fans of this rather understated and obscure racing game. Also known as Shutoko Battle in Japan, this is a series of racing games by Genki, a Japanese game company that was founded in 1990. Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 is one of the most popular game in the series as it features many cars, opponents and an extensive map For those that have never heard of these games, I'll give you a quick run-down. When suppressed feelings arise

"Don't keep it bottled up inside" is a saying many of us are familiar with. By now, most of us are aware that ignoring your emotions is an unhealthy practice. Yet many of us do it anyway. I don't think I'm particularly stoic, but as I get older, I've realised that I do tend to not express how I'm feeling, and that this practice has led to anxiety. One example of this happened just a few weeks ago. Prior to this year's Motor Show, I had trouble sleeping. I would keep waking up with my m

Journey to the West: First Steps in Southwestern China, Pt. 1

It used to be that when a person was visiting China for the first time, the natural choice was Beijing. No better way to learn about a country than a visit to its capital, amirite? Having had their fill of Peking duck and climbed the Great Wall of China, the next places they would likely look at are those on the east coast - Shanghai, Nanjing, perhaps Harbin. In recent times though, the southwestern parts of China have gotten much coverage on social media. Chongqing, the country’s largest c
