Integrity is an essential character-building value that requires one to be accountable and accept responsibility for his/her actions.

Essentially, it can be understood as "doing the right thing, even when no one is looking".

Unfortunately for this couple, integrity means nothing to them. Watch this video to find out why:

The Backstory

The owner of the Mini Cooper returned to the Multi-storey carpark (MSCP), only to discover her damaged Mini Cooper.

A gentleman, the eyewitness, informed her that the Toyota Corolla beside her reversed into her car twice while parking.

Later, she learned that the kind eyewitness had waited in the carpark because a note that he placed on the Mini Cooper, which contained his personal contact information, had gone missing.

Shortly after, the couple driving the Toyota Corolla, AKA the culprits, returned to the MSCP.

After the Mini driver confronted them, the couple acted blur and brushed her off.

The husband allegedly turned aggressive and shouted at the Mini driver, "I pay lah, what's the big deal? I pay!", only to be instructed by his wife to get into the car and ignore the Mini driver.

Even when the Mini driver was on a call with the Traffic Police and instructed them to stay until TP arrived at their location, the couple ignored and attempted to drive off.

Unfortunately for the couple, their attempt was caught in the above video.

Attempted To Run Her Over

In the process of preventing the couple from driving off, the Mini driver stood in front of the Toyota Corolla.

However, the driver continued to drive off, endangering the victim's life.

The Consequence

Under section 84 of the Road Traffic Act, the driver at fault is liable to perform the following:

  1. Stop their vehicle.
  2. Provide their personal information to the accident victim(s), including passengers or pedestrians, upon request.
  3. Report the accident to the police within 24 hours.
  4. Provide assistance if the accident involves injury or death to another person.
  5. Do not move the vehicle(s) involved in the accident.
Quote

Failure to comply with the above may result in a fine of up to $3,000 and/or to imprisonment for a term of up to 12 months if the driver had caused serious injury or death to another person.

For repeat offenders, they can be fined up to $5,000 and/or jailed for up to 2 years.

The at-fault driver may also be disqualified from holding or obtaining a driver’s licence for up to 12 months.

To all those reading this article, please do not endanger your life in the process of retaining a hit and run culprit - Your safety is of paramount importance.

If you have a solid parking technique, you won't have to rely on reverse cameras😉

  • A sole-ful tribute

Car enthusiasts are an emotional bunch. So, I naturally develop feelings for things on wheels, be it four wheels or two. However, I was surprised to discover that I had become attached to my old pair of sneakers, whose soles are so worn that it hurts to wear them.  That is the unequivocal signal to retire them. But I must say "Thank you" before bidding them goodbye. The laceless design is convenient, saving time when you need to rush off in the morning Through thick and

“WHAT’S A GOOD USERNAME?!” Such was the source of my agony as I was handed a pair of figurative keys to MyAutoBlog. I’d asked the colleague from IT who was helping me set up this account if I really had to make an account with my work email, hoping I could use the username that came with my personal MCF account instead. “yes”, in lowercase no less, was what I got. Oh well. After a good 10 minutes (I think), I decided on this username (a reference I hope someone gets), juvenile and
