Tesla Model 3 lets a BMW 535i eat dust and showcases its insane torque at a traffic light

According to LTA, the number of new Teslas in Singapore increased from 8 to 487 from July to Q3, 2021.

Regardless, the number of Teslas in Singapore remains small and unreported in user-submitted video platforms...until TODAY!

Warning: The video contains wheel spins, turbo spooling, engine revving, and exhaust burbling

Excited?

What Happened?

The "race" took place at Orchard Road, where the BMW 535i (cam car) attempted to chase down a Tesla Model 3 Performance.

Upon the traffic light turning green, you could hear the wheel spin of the BMW 535i as all 300 BHP was sent to the car's rear wheels.

Meanwhile, the Tesla Model 3 Performance was almost silent, apart from the noise coming from its tyres.

Tesla's instantaneous torque coupled with its All-Wheel Drive and 473 BHP allowed it to gap the BMW 535i within seconds.

I would say that the Tesla smoked the BMW 535i, but...there isn't any exhaust system on a Tesla. How to smoke when there isn't any smoke?

You could hear the BMW driver laughing to himself in defeat and telling his passenger that his BMW was no match for the Tesla.

BMW driver Could Not Swallow His Pride

Moments later, both cars met at another traffic light, where they raced again.

Sad to say, it was just a copy-paste of the previous race.

At this point in time, you just feel so bad for the BMW 535i driver.

Probably the only thing the BMW can win the Tesla in.

That's some audacity right there.

Well. The Tesla electric motors will degrade much faster.

Don't worry, if the driver got money to buy Model 3 Performance + Drive like that = Sure got money to pay for repair/replacement parts.

  • Christmas colours: What do they actually mean?

The members of the Sgcarmart media team recently put its heads together to prepare something special and festive for our readers and viewers - which you can both read about and watch on Instagram - and as we were sitting down to plan things out, we were faced at one point with a deceptively simple question: What are the different meanings behind the colours we associate with Christmas?  In my very non-expert eyes, three distinct colours stand out: Red, green and white primarily,

    Hard Enduro: The ultimate motorsport?

I enjoy motorsports of all kinds - four wheels good, two wheels better. And while watching them on TV (okay let's be honest Youtube, who even watches TV nowadays) is fun, getting to partake in anything even remotely resembling it, even in a highly truncated, totally superficial manner, is even more exciting.  Earlier this year, I did a short 2.5 day off-road riding 'tour', and it was easily the hardest, most physically demanding 2.5 days I've ever spent on a motorbike. It really gives you a

Japan is weird. I love it (Part 5)

There are plenty of strange sports in this world. People running from bulls. People running after cheese. Power Slap.  But of course few places do weird quite like Japan. Introducing to you: Bo-taoshi.  The name means 'topple the pole', and that's exactly the name of the game. Except of course its never quite so simple.  You want teams? Oh, you get teams. 150 players, split into 75 offensive and 75 defensive - one holding your pole up, the other attacking another team to topple th
