Honda driver hogs the road and ends up getting rear-ended

This Honda road bully blocks the path of a large bus, randomly stops in the middle of the road several times and ends up getting rear-ended.

There is nothing more annoying than a road hogger on a busy road, and that is what this poor bus driver had to experience.

The video starts with the Honda driving slowly down the left lane, blocking the path of the bus driver. Annoyed with the car's behaviour, a man beside the driver is heard commenting "Just don't jam brakes. If not, I fall down leh.".

As both vehicles approach the traffic junction, the car suddenly stops with its hazard lights on. In an attempt to warn the car's driver, the bus driver presses his horn.

However, the car remains still, which earns it a series of honks from other upset drivers as well.

The bus driver chimes in with two long honks, which pushes the car to finally move off.

The Honda enters the junction, swerves right, before switching back to the left lane quickly. At the same moment, the car is seen braking suddenly as the bus moves forward.

This leads to the bus hitting the yellow car from the back with a loud crash, which pushes it further up the lane.

At the last second, the car's driver angrily gets out of his vehicle to confront the bus driver.

Is road hogging an offence?

According to the LTA and the Traffic Police, road hogging is considered an offence in Singapore.

Drivers who drive in such a manner as to obstruct vehicles from moving at a faster speed will receive a fine of up to $1,000, an imprisonment term of 3 months and 4 demerit points. For repeated offenders, they will receive a fine of up to $2,000, an imprisonment term of 6 months and 4 demerit points.

From the video, it is clear that the yellow car is the aggressor as the driver purposely stalls the flow of traffic and recklessly changes lanes (and jams on his brakes) without any warning. 😒 I hope that the TP sees this and invites him for a nice long kopi session soon.

Report to TP with this video. Driver sure kena go for coffee break with IO. Endanger other road users and causing obstructions. Send video to his insurance company so that he cannot claim for repair even tail ended. The accident is purposely created by him.

or the jazz is busy replying messages.... you see plenty of the them on the road. Slow like a turtle and eyes staring at handphone. The law has to be harsh to deter those people, or we will continue to have those jokers on the road.

yep, it was speculated that the guy might be on his phone but there's no footage to show that so we can't assume that he is 😞

Good. The Jazz got what it deserves.

There's just something about watching an ass on the street get his karma that's so satisfying 🙂

so can the bus claim against the jazz? I am curious... cos techically the jazz switched on the hazard lights... maybe its a breakdown or something.... i mean the jazz driver can use that as a defense...

  • A sole-ful tribute

Car enthusiasts are an emotional bunch. So, I naturally develop feelings for things on wheels, be it four wheels or two. However, I was surprised to discover that I had become attached to my old pair of sneakers, whose soles are so worn that it hurts to wear them.  That is the unequivocal signal to retire them. But I must say "Thank you" before bidding them goodbye. The laceless design is convenient, saving time when you need to rush off in the morning Through thick and
