An impatient Mercedes taxi driver repeatedly honks aggressively at cyclists and recklessly drives like a 10/10 a**hole.

On Monday (Aug 9), a group of cyclists were cycling along the junction of Thomson Road and Balestier Road at seven in the morning when they encountered a rude taxi driver.

The Mercedes taxi driver could be seen tailgating the cyclists as they turned right at the junction in the video.

He aggressively honked at them despite not being in the same lane as the cyclists.

Towards the end, the taxi suddenly sped up and cut in front of the group. The taxi then took the left filter lane towards Whitley Road without observing the proper safety distance.

LTA's rules and regulations for cycling on the road

While the cyclists received backlash for riding on the roads, it seemed that they were following the proper rules and regulations.

They were wearing helmets, rode in a single file as close to the left-hand edge as possible and switched on their front and rear lights. They were decked out in national colours and did not use any mobile communication devices while riding on the road.

Netizens’ reactions

While there is a stigma towards cyclists, there is no need to be such an a** towards them. If the taxi driver wanted to warn the cyclists, he could have honked once instead of continuously honking at them. Besides that, his reckless behaviour could have resulted in a severe accident on National Day.

Why is it that cyclists can do whatever they want on the road but not drivers??

I believe it goes both ways. If cyclists call drivers A-hole for that behaviour so can drivers call cyclists A-hole for their behaviour.

So stop the pot calling the kettle black. Cyclist are just as A-hole if not worse.

Let ask us ourselves this question.

what is the purpose of all car manufacturers installing horn at the steering wheel? For the purpose of warning to prevent accidents?

so let have an open mind do not be so petty! Do not take every horn sound as aggression from the driver!

taxi driver might just wanna issue warning “ hey watch out I am coming in fast”!

I believe  cyclist will rather be horn by taxi to be alerted and avoid an accident then ended up paralysis for good!

not every horn is aggression, but to prevent a potential accidents horning are needed most of the time!

  • 10 sweet wedding songs

Two months ago, I listed 10 songs that had no business being played at a wedding. Many were about the inability to move on after a breakup or worse: Songs sung from the perspective of a third party! So, this time around, it's time to highlight 10 songs that can be played on the first day of a couple's married life. 10) All Of You - Julio Iglesias & Diana Ross This song is clearly about someone who wants everything that the love of their life has to offer. It is well
