A BlueSG tutorial on how to cut across 5 lanes in 4-seconds

Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, I have really missed the F1 action in Singapore. The rivalry between Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel (when he was still with Ferrari) and also admiring young drivers like Charles Leclerc and Alexander Albon.

But today we have our own Formula One action along the KPE toward ECP by a Bolloré BlueSG.

Color me impressed after watching this feat of insanity. The driver manages to cut from the first lane to the fifth lane (exiting toward Tanjong Pagar) with no incident and in four-seconds no less.

So without further ado, let's watch the action!

Last by not least.

As much as I miss Formula 1 like the rest of you here, it is not advised to do such a high-risk manoeuvre that will danger not only yourself but also other motorists. Always plan your route ahead, making sure that you are ready to make an exit when you are nearing it.

BlueSG cars are not made for such a manoeuvre with its short wheelbase. Furthermore, you do not know how much tyre threads is left with a car-sharing vehicle. You are endangering your life with such a stunt.

If you're the driver of this particular BlueSG car, and happen to read this, Uncle Koba says no-no to you ah!

  • Japan is weird. I love it (Part 4)

I recently finished watching Shōgun (yes, I'm a little bit late to the party). Released earlier this year, Shōgun has become an utter revelation - going on to win 18 Emmys at this year's Primetime and Creative Arts Emmys, making it the most awarded single season of television in history. It's also the first non-English-language series to win Outstanding Drama Series.  And it truly is outstanding, fully deserving of all the awards that it has garnered.  As you would expect, the show rev

    Maps

The world map is a lie.  Well, sort of. If you think of a 2D, rectangular world map, the image that comes to mind is what's called a Mercator projection: It's... a map, no doubt, but with some very obvious distortions. The most obvious one being Antarctica, which seems like almost another planet, as well as Greenland being absolutely massive and seemingly the same size as Africa, when it is in fact 1/14 the size.  Representing a 3D sphere (Earth) on a 2D surface is fundament

    DENZA D9: True Flagship Excellence

What makes something a flagship? Flagship products represent the very best of a brand. Whether it's cars, electronic products, even services, a 'flagship' is core to a brand experience, as well as to the brand's image. Besides just delivering all the tangible features and functionality offered by the brand, a flagship product is also a showcase of the intangible - about what a brand stands for, and what it aims to deliver to customers. DENZA, a BYD Premium Brand, has now been officiall

    A sole-ful tribute

Car enthusiasts are an emotional bunch. So, I naturally develop feelings for things on wheels, be it four wheels or two. However, I was surprised to discover that I had become attached to my old pair of sneakers, whose soles are so worn that it hurts to wear them.  That is the unequivocal signal to retire them. But I must say "Thank you" before bidding them goodbye. The laceless design is convenient, saving time when you need to rush off in the morning Through thick and
