A video made its way onto social media, featuring a Nissan GTR and a Mercedes-Benz A45S AMG 4MATIC Plus drag racing against each other.

It was unclear where this incident took place.

Here's the video for your viewing pleasure:

For those that do not know, this variation of the A45S is the latest model with the highest specifications currently offered on the market.

Japanese Vs German Engineering

Despite the late reaction from the A45S, you can see that this 2.0-litre turbocharged hatchback quickly caught onto the 3.8-litre Godzilla within seconds.

What fascinated me was the brilliance of Japanese engineering that allowed the >10 years old GTR, to go head-to-head against a modern-day sports car.

Unfortunately, it was impossible to tell who won that drag race from the video.

Haiz...I was disappointed when I realised there wasn't any audio.

Who do you think would have won if the A45S driver had a good reaction time?

If it's an actual drag race, the GTR will win hands down.

You are right.

The puff of black smoke is not natural.

I think he may have blown a head gasket.

No lah.  A very misleading video.

This video title is only accurate if the camera car is that Mercedes Benz A45S.

Anyway, everyone in this forum knows I love Nissan cars.

  • Japan is weird. I love it (Part 4)

I recently finished watching Shōgun (yes, I'm a little bit late to the party). Released earlier this year, Shōgun has become an utter revelation - going on to win 18 Emmys at this year's Primetime and Creative Arts Emmys, making it the most awarded single season of television in history. It's also the first non-English-language series to win Outstanding Drama Series.  And it truly is outstanding, fully deserving of all the awards that it has garnered.  As you would expect, the show rev

    Maps

The world map is a lie.  Well, sort of. If you think of a 2D, rectangular world map, the image that comes to mind is what's called a Mercator projection: It's... a map, no doubt, but with some very obvious distortions. The most obvious one being Antarctica, which seems like almost another planet, as well as Greenland being absolutely massive and seemingly the same size as Africa, when it is in fact 1/14 the size.  Representing a 3D sphere (Earth) on a 2D surface is fundament

    Building a racing-themed watch!

This. This watch dial is the reason I started on this particular watch build... It all began when I came across someone's build that utilised the same dial - prior to this, I did not even know of the existence of a Walter Wolf Racing branded watch or dial. If you don't have any idea who or what Walter Wolf Racing is, here's an excerpt from Wikipedia: "Walter Wolf Racing was a Formula One constructor active from 1977 to 1979, which won the first race the team entered. It was owne
