Cyclists in two separate videos disregard the red light and experience instant ragret

Within the past 24 hours, two unrelated cases of vehicles knocking over cyclists have surfaced on Facebook. The only thing constant in the equation? Both cyclists disregarded the red man and cycled across the road anyway.

Both incidents took place yesterday (July 5), with the first one being at Choa Chu Kang and the second one at Sembawang.

In the first video, a female driver was driving straight ahead across a road junction along Choa Chu Kang Dr after noticing that the light had turned green. However, she noticed that a cyclist had dashed out as she was accelerating, which led to her hitting the cyclist.

Take note: there is loud screaming and graphic content in the following videos.

In the second video, a taxi was seen performing a right turn at a road junction in between Sembawang and Mandai Road when it hits a cyclist that was crossing the road at a red light.

Despite the roads being busy in both videos, the cyclists thought that they were able to beat the red light and just YOLO-ed their way through.

Honestly, if I were them, I would be in constant "ragret" over this one stupid decision.

Netizens' reactions

It didn't take long for netizens to express their sentiments with regard to both incidents.

As for the taxi driver (in the second video), many netizens shared their frustrations with the cyclist for not following the rules.

We hope that all parties involved in both accidents are okay and will post any further updates if necessary.

This person needs to have a feel of metal hits body then he will see who is right or who has the right. There is a reason why cyclists are barred from riding on certain roads.

Rights on the road needs to be earned....what about having the cyclist go through the same qualification rigours the drivers and motorists went through and to pay road tax too. And get road insurance too. Den they can start saying they have rights to be on the road. They will need to hang their road cycling licence at the front and back of their bikes....so traffic police and lta can go after them too. If Govt find it too tedious to administer this... Just expand the left lane and make a bike lane for those jokers.

"ragrets" is an improper way to spell "regrets". It become a popular slang word after the movie 'We're the Millers' came out. Probably a Gen Z thing lol.

Take note: there is loud screaming.

Please turn UP the volume LOUDER

so your can hear the CRUNCH of metal hitting the cyclist

as he does his superman flying routine.

:D

I hope to see MORE such videos as cyclist

have promised not to learn and do it again

and again.

There is really no cure for stupidity.

Hahahaa....typical AMDK entitled mentality

Easy to talk big over social media. Let's hear him utter the same big words after meeting a tipper truck...

  • Godzilla Minus One: Surprisingly emotional and poignant

When one thinks of Godzilla movies, one imagines an oversized amphibious dinosaur generating a terrifying heat ray from its mouth and fighting with other oversized monsters. Meh, nothing special, right? Wrong. Here’s why Godzilla Minus One should be an action movie you should definitely catch. In this version, the timeless clash between monster and man is once again set against the tumultuous backdrop of post-war Japan. But, unlike typical action films that dive headfirst into destruction a

I have a new favourite game - Dave the Diver!

Nowadays I think many people have a Nintendo Switch, considering how it is often given away as a free gift when you sign up for credit cards, etc. Instead of just playing Mario Kart, Overcooked and Pokemon, I have another game to introduce to you all! The game is Dave the Diver. This game has completely captivated me with its delightful blend of adventure and relaxation. From the moment I dove into its vibrant underwater world, I was hooked. The gameplay mechanics strike that perfect b

    Musings about the Pomodoro Method

In a hyper-connected mega-city, where time seems to tick at a relentlessly brisk pace and where distractions are aplenty, pondering the art of productivity and focus is inevitable. In fact, it’s almost become a necessity. No wonder so many listicles have been written to point us in the right directions. Different methods works for different folks, of course, and when I was in my final year of university, I was introduced to a method that I regularly return to still: The Pomodoro Method, a d
