Why Drivers Hate To See Cyclists

To all cycling enthusiasts and pro-cycling people, this 'PBK' in the video is one reason why drivers hate you.

Please watch this video (uploaded by SG Road Vigilante) and tell me whether you feel the rage I feel as a driver.

What's Happening

In this 0.29 second video, we see a cyclist doing a series of wrong things (in just 3 seconds)

1.       He's cycling on a footpath when he should be on the road

2.       He does not check his blind spot

3.       He makes a 'lane change' to the road with total disregard to traffic

This incident happens along Mandai Road, near the Mandai Crematorium (which is where he would have gone if he had been run down).

What's worse, from the cam car's footage, it looks like it might have hit the KIA Niro in front that had to do an emergency brake (the recording cuts off before any impact, so I can only speculate).

I totally cannot understand the mind of these cyclists who can just ride in their own world and disregard other road users.

Why would one just jump out to the road without even checking if there is any traffic behind? Well I guess, these cyclists (not just this one but those who hogged a long stretch of traffic behind) probably didn't bother much about their own life or think their life are cheap. Globally, cyclists are becoming a nuisance.

I seriously doubt most of them know what's Highway Code in the first place (if they are not a driver).

Same goes for PMDs.

  • Japan: The trend that became a turn-off

Ahh Japan. The destination that many travellers desire. The perennial trending subject on social media. Japanese cuisine, culture, quirks, technology, and everything kawaii have inspired endless posts, stories, reels, YouTube videos, and TikToks. If one didn't know better, you'd think it was the dream destination on this planet. While I love the food, the service and the shopping, the sheer number of tourists (me included) has become a turn-off. I'm not talking about those who inconven

    Zebras

On a recent podcast episode, this hilarious nugget of information was brought up: "Zebras have the loudest farts".  What.  I have spent some time Googling this, and I cannot yet definitely verify the accuracy of this statement. But there is some scientific basis to it - zebras are hindgut fermenters, and there's a whole bunch of biology behind it but the important takeaway is that yes, zebras fart plenty. This also explains their 'bum-heavy' shape, similar to cows, horses, el

    When suppressed feelings arise

"Don't keep it bottled up inside" is a saying many of us are familiar with. By now, most of us are aware that ignoring your emotions is an unhealthy practice. Yet many of us do it anyway. I don't think I'm particularly stoic, but as I get older, I've realised that I do tend to not express how I'm feeling, and that this practice has led to anxiety. One example of this happened just a few weeks ago. Prior to this year's Motor Show, I had trouble sleeping. I would keep waking up with my m

My favourite racing game is back!

THERE'S A NEW TOKYO XTREME RACER GAME ON THE WAYYYY!!!! This is the best news for fans of this rather understated and obscure racing game. Also known as Shutoko Battle in Japan, this is a series of racing games by Genki, a Japanese game company that was founded in 1990. Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 is one of the most popular game in the series as it features many cars, opponents and an extensive map For those that have never heard of these games, I'll give you a quick run-down. Inspired by the
