Drink-driving is never good and this is just another one of many unnecessary accidents that are caused by driving after being intoxicated with alcohol.

As seen on ROADS.sg, this BMW 2 Series Grand Tourer lost control of his car and crashed into the sidewalk along Serangoon Road and Rowell Road junction on 29 Dec 2020 at 17.06 pm.

Unfortunately a couple of pedestrians were hurt but we don't know the exact details. Thankfully, the accident did not take anyone's life.

Naturally, netizens showed the BMW driver no mercy...

Watch the full video here! We especially like the fast manoeuvre the man in the dark blue polo had to pull to get away from the crash!

Did he stay on the scene to render assistance, or at least assess damage?

If not, then there's usually only one reason for running away.

I think these "run away" cases should be treated as equivalent to the harshest levels of drink driving with similar penalties. You stay or you run, no difference, you're going inside.

It's really hard to say what happened there. The place is also one kind. Ppl crossing the road like it's literally in India. Dunno whether the car is trying to swerve to avoid hitting jay walkers or it could be smth else.

Many people (including me) drive regularly there without incident. If this fella crashed, no excuses like "avoiding pedestrian" please. I drive especially slowly there for a reason.

  • Space: Large and Empty

Over the weekend I fell into a bit of a science-fiction/science rabbithole. You know, one of those when you click on ONE Youtube video and suddenly the whole Sunday afternoon is gone and your algorithm is all messed up.  Anyway, obviously there's tons of fascinating stuff about space and science and all that. Too much, really.  But one fun fact has stuck in my brain: All the other planets in the Solar System could fit between Earth and our Moon.  It seems crazy to think, consideri

    Singapore’s ultimate NDP song?

As my JC classmates suddenly made plans this year to have an NDP watch-party (this is likely our first in the 12 years we’ve known each other), I found myself falling into a state of nostalgia again: This time, thinking about how NDP songs have evolved over the years. It’s not a stretch to say that each NDP song - from the inception of the idea of an NDP song back in 1984 - has woven itself somewhat into the fabric of our collective memories. Whether you were singing along loudly in primary

In life, there is no pleasure without pain

Before anything else, let me assure you that this is not about BDSM (bondage, discipline, sadism, masochism). Like many of my posts, this is an observation about life. More specifically, the duality of pain and pleasure that exists within it. Let's consider the analogy of light and dark: A room seems bright because the darkness subdued. Yet without the presence of darkness, how do we perceive the brightness of the light? Similarly, we cannot savour the sweetness of pleasure without the
