I think the GTR driver panicked when he saw a “slow” moving Merc CLS ahead and lifted off his right foot too abruptly. 

The comments posted here about taking bus or buying an instructor vios actually reflects the troll-like manner, shallowness and the lack of awareness of these people. They are probably the same group of folks that will panic and crash their vehicle if the same situation occurs to them....if they even have a driving license to begin with.

For most of us car enthusiast here, this is actually a good case study to try to understand what went wrong and what did the driver do to get himself into this mess, so that we will not fall victim to similar situation.

The GT-R is a capable track car with an AWD drivetrain, a very stable machine. It should not fishtail like a RWD as seen in the video even if the driver lift off the foot suddenly..... unless the GT-R is actually rear wheel biased. (Is it?) If even so the Traction control should kick in to mitigate the fishtail.

Which begs the question which may answer to why it crashed:

• What tyres is it running on?
• What is the road condition? Some slick tyres run very well on dry but sucks when go through some wet puddles.
• What did the driver do, did he let go of the pedal, or hit the brakes? Is the steering straight or turning?
• Is traction control on? if yes, is the GT-R modified to the point the traction control cannot compensate the higher than stock torque?

GTR is RWD biased.

Once tyre lose traction, no amount of electronic nanny will help.

From what I've heard, a lot of young heroes think it's cool to drive on the roads with stability and traction off. They think it proves they're fantastic drivers or something like that. 

Now see lah. Hero to zero in 3 seconds.

Track, you can dial down the driver aids as much as you want. Road conditions are unpredictable.
