A driver who seems to have underestimated the size of his package has gotten himself stuck under an overhead bridge along the West Coast Highway.

Published on SG Road Vigilante, the accident happened last night (9 June 2020), causing traffic heading towards Pasir Panjang some inconvenience at the junction of West Coast Highway and Alexandra Road.

Judging from the photos shared online, we can't be sure whose fault it was. It could be the transporter's/driver's fault or the escort service's fault (if there were hired in the first place).

We hope the bridge remains open and unhurt!

This kind of package needs to be escorted and route plan must be filed with LTA by either the transport company or the escort.

Normally its not the driver fault, his job is to drive. He wont know the size of the package until the actual day.

Its either the transport company fault or the auxiliary police fault or the owner themselves

Info of the item will come from the owner or the hirer

Transport company declare the route

Auxiliary police check route.

The title should not be "Did this driver underestimate his package?" cos the driver will never know. Be fair to the driver!!!

It could be a case of illegal transportation or who knows or negligence by one of the parties.

better to have escort. At least, some one else to share to pain of paying for the repair.

I am sure seeing the height of the cargo, some one should have double checked the height before setting off

The first toilet roll went through leh... Must be type pressure. Wahaha..

Maybe shipper gave extra material or thicker material spec for the second roll ; importer should know well and experience in this kind of height matters clearance ; maybe rear trailer tyres  could have been deflated

    Building a racing-themed watch!

This. This watch dial is the reason I started on this particular watch build... It all began when I came across someone's build that utilised the same dial - prior to this, I did not even know of the existence of a Walter Wolf Racing branded watch or dial. If you don't have any idea who or what Walter Wolf Racing is, here's an excerpt from Wikipedia: "Walter Wolf Racing was a Formula One constructor active from 1977 to 1979, which won the first race the team entered.
