This is why we should always park properly.

We were alerted to someone's posts on his facebook page, showing a BMW X6 XDrive35i badly parked at Jurong Point Shopping Center.

Like what the photos show, the netizen who is presumed to be driving the Toyota Altis that is parked beside, barely had space to squeeze into his lot. The large BMW SUV had kind of edged into the page owner's lot causing him to be quite pissed.

By parking badly, and of course no thanks to the Altis driver, the BMW owner will be having lots of difficulty getting into his car.

So What do you guys think of this? Is it fair to 'punish' the BMW driver who ill-parked? Or do you think the BMW driver had made an honest mistake as it simply wanted to be further away from the lorry beside it?

Yes, the BMW driver deserved it.  Well done, Toyota driver.  Not that all BMW drivers are dicks but when it does happen, it's usually a BMW.  There's absolutely no excuse even if the previous car on the left did not park in the lot properly.  Cascading the issue is not the answer and no excuse.  Persecute every one who does not park in the lot, period.

It's like the outbreak, covidiots are just that, idiots, sorry.

Well done. All I'll say is I've seen at least as many (and probably more) dicks and blur cocks in BnB cars (like the boring Toyota models) as in nicer ones (M BMWs) but one tends to remember only the nice cars. 😂

The way to handle such drivers is to park as near as possible to the BMW driver door, so the BMW driver will need to enter via the passenger door.😁

Woah, playing statistics.  What's the total population of BMW against Toyotas.  For the record, I've never owned any Toyota, ha ha.

According to "statistics" there are about 3+ Toyotas for every BMW.

If I told you I saw Toyotas making clowns of themselves more than three times as much as BMWs, would that make you happy?

Anyway, my point wasn't about statistics. It's about what one tends to remember about road encounters. A BnB boring Toyota cuts me off rudely sans signal, I dismiss it with a  mutter and overtake at the first safe opportunity. But if it's a nice or rare car, I remember the encounter and file it away. Like the time a woman in one of the first Teslas in Singapore drove like a maniac around Holland Road leading to Buona Vista road. I remember the colour, I remember the model. I don't get tempted into road rage, but I do remember.

This is why those who are driving pretty nice cars tend to have a more relaxed attitude on the roads, even though their cars are capable of much more effective hoonery. The difference is even apparent if you compare a BMW M car with (say) a non-M 3 series - a lot of the time, you'll find the M car driver going more gently than the other bloke. Same deal between a Supra vs a Vios.

Maybe the X6 driver should consider taking Bus, MRT and Walking (BMW)  instead since he can't park properly.

  • Godzilla Minus One: Surprisingly emotional and poignant

When one thinks of Godzilla movies, one imagines an oversized amphibious dinosaur generating a terrifying heat ray from its mouth and fighting with other oversized monsters. Meh, nothing special, right? Wrong. Here’s why Godzilla Minus One should be an action movie you should definitely catch. In this version, the timeless clash between monster and man is once again set against the tumultuous backdrop of post-war Japan. But, unlike typical action films that dive headfirst into destruction a

The fun in collecting postcards without (really ever) sending them

I believe I may not be alone when I say that I’m quite the avid collector of postcards, but rarely ever send them out to family or friends. To some, this might seem counterintuitive, even wasteful. But for me, these miniature works of art serve a different purpose. They're windows into distant lands; time capsules of bygone eras; and conversation starters par excellence. In fact, in a city as fast-paced as Singapore, where our lives often revolve around our vehicles and the next destination

5 ways the Polestar 2 Core Edition proves less can be more

With a less-is-more approach, the Polestar 2 Core Edition offers a more value-for-money entry into the Swedish brand.  What first comes to mind when you think of Sweden? IKEA, and probably ABBA. But there's plenty more that has come out of Sweden besides flat-pack furniture, meatballs and impossibly-catchy pop songs. Founded as a standalone brand just eight years ago and headquartered in Torslanda, Sweden, Polestar is a design-forward electric performance brand that wants to put its Sc

    Musings about the Pomodoro Method

In a hyper-connected mega-city, where time seems to tick at a relentlessly brisk pace and where distractions are aplenty, pondering the art of productivity and focus is inevitable. In fact, it’s almost become a necessity. No wonder so many listicles have been written to point us in the right directions. Different methods works for different folks, of course, and when I was in my final year of university, I was introduced to a method that I regularly return to still: The Pomodoro Method, a d
