A post about a customer who refused to pay after a battery replacement workshop rendered its services has gone viral online.

Spotted on its own facebook page, FastFix Car Battery Replacement Service explained how the whole issue came about.

It wrote in its post that its client, Mr C, reached out to them saying that he needed help as his car could not start. After listening to the symptoms the car showed( car still cranks and aircon is not as strong as before), the workshop concluded that it needed a new battery.

However, upon reaching Mr C, whose car was parked in the CBD and hence the need to pay for ERP charges, the guys from FastFix realised that it wasn't the battery that needed replacing.

Concluding that there was nothing the guys from FastFix could do to help, Mr C was then asked to pay for the labour fee that had been pointed out before in their Whatsapp conversation. Unfortunately, Mr C disagreed and refused to pay the $50 that they had agreed on as nothing has been done to his Kia.

There was not much FastFix could do which probably prompted them to 'share their story' of the client on their facebook page.

Here are some of the notable comment in the post.

It's best to join AAS if you don't wanna pay for any tow or transport plus labour charges if your car broke down.  I had been with AAS for many years since i got my car in 1997.

Wah...
Car still cranks but needs a new battery?
Since when is that good advice for a car that "won't start"
If it's cranking, it's not the battery issue
(although a weak / worn battery may still need replacing, it's not the battery that stopping the car from starting)

Agree. Engine can crank but car can't start. It showed the battery still has strength. I reckon the workshop made the wrong conclusion prior to making the trip.

  • A 20-year journey, an old passion rekindled

For us 90s babies, the Holy Trinity of Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and Cartoon Network formed a big part of our childhood. The internet was just about coming into fruition, with the rise of a plethora of websites with numerous entertaining flash games and of course, the early days of YouTube. And though those things have come and gone, one thing in my life remained constant: My love for Pokemon. I first got into Pokemon 20 years ago, and I remember exactly how it went down. Let me set the

We did not realise that the immigration process at the Hong Kong Kowloon West station involved both the Hong Kong and Chinese authorities, so we found ourselves in a rush to board the train (we boarded minutes before the scheduled departure). Through the eight-hour journey, the passing sights made me realise the diversity

Why oolong tea could be the superior drink of choice at lunch

Coffee - without sugar! - has long been (and still is) my go-to option to accompany my lunch. Amidst a larger 2025 goal of reducing the number of cups of kopi-o kosong I gulp down a week, however, I’ve recently thought about how my lunch experience can be switched up slightly with yet another sugarless drink: A can, or indeed bottle of oolong tea. Oolong tea is said to offer a perfect balance of flavour and functionality - perfect not just for complementing one's meal but also reinvigo
